So I heard on the radio no suspension for Cody Mcleod...

are these the same rules as the ones JV got the 1 game for the late hit/blind side? I think it was on Polak?

Last night was away from the puck. McLeod is a cheap pos and made it look unintentional. This is his last year in the NHL, so he's trying to make the most of it.

IMO there is nothing convincing that shows there was intent on behalf of Mcleod's part. Maybe he did do it on purpose, but there is nothing on the replay the shows he changed his path, lowered his shoulder, or drove into the hit on Bear. I have no problem with no discipline.

And please, no conspiracy theories!

It's not a conspiracy. Just practical good business practice. A call that is not certain which can be interpreted either way will most likely go against a team that has less to lose over a team that has more to lose. Just business reality.

It was inconclusive... Tie will always go to the runner, and inconclusive evidence will always go in favor of the person being accused.
If it was Mcleod on Mcdavid, the result would be the same. No evidence, no penalty.

I cannot tell you how much I disagree with the bold above. The league cannot play favorites, it must not be biased, and what you are saying is a complete conflict of interest. So the health and well being of players on weaker teams holds less importance to the league than players of high profile or players on winning teams? I know you are speaking generally about the teams, and less about individual players, but it is the exact same.

I know some here are outraged with the coaching and others regard the "lack of talent" for the Canuck struggles. I believe it is a combination of both.

I just wish Willie D would go out on a limb or implement a new strategy on the PP from time to time. The current plan is absolutely horrible to watch. Why not try split the twins (D.Sedin has ONE goal in his last 20 games)? Why not pencil Horvat's group as the #1 PP? Why not put Burrows or Tryamkin in front of the net? Something different please!!!

I understand his job is on the line which is why he is very cautious, but clearly the current system is not working.

The organizations loyalty to the Sedin's is infuriating. Park them on the bench if they aren't producing or get them off the PP

thought they looked okay, but heard something about the 4 cyl ones with 9 speed transmissions having issues.

I've been into VW's lately. would love to get a new Tiguan or Sportwagon with 4motion.

yeah I would love a TDI (of any type) as commuter to go with my 4runner. Less wear on the tires that way lol nevermind the fuel.

Lots of bad luck last night is leading to some wildly re-shuffled lines today in Columbus.

Markus Granlund, meet the Sedins!

lots of torque, people who have'em seem to love'em.

I don't do enough driving for a diesel, but like the idea of vw's new 1.8 tsi with regular gas. we love our older GLI with the 2.0 turbo but premium gas is an annoyance.

^could not agree more. He reminds me so much of Virtanen. Straight line player, little creativity (not that its always needed), goes hard to the net and not much else.

There playing style isnt much alike. Rasmussen is more known for his lethality around the net on the PP. Jake can play a very fast north south game when in shape. Can also be trouble around the net of course. Jakes defensive numbers in the NHL have been surprisingly good. I'm not so sure Rasmussen will translate like that.

I agree that he is a very risky top 10 pick. Don't be surprised to see a couple more Euro C's like Andersson and Petersson go before him even.

I can't shake the feeling that for some odd reason we win the lotto this year! Odd I know to trust to faith or luck as a Canuck fan...but I got a good feeling
- Bullfrog77

it might be payback for NHL rigging the lottery for the leafs last time... they said the Nux were one number off, but i think they switched the balls on us...
