...and you have to find a way to fit in Duchene's cap hit, which is far from being easy...Colorado would have to take some salary back - stinger67
Duchene stats are VERY close to Plekanec's stats (a few years ago) and they are the exact same size. |

Salary would be more of an issue in the summer, they could fit Duchene in this year no problem, DD would most likely be going the other way |

Agreed.
He is not the star some think he is. He is a solid #2 center...

If they don't pick up their poop quickly they will be fighting for a spot sooner than then they think |

Yes, it's a start...but if you sell the farm for him it's also the end. - stinger67
Gallagher isn't on the farm.
Sergachev is still two years away from the NHL.
That first pick will be in the 20-30 range and might never play a game in the NHL |

I don't think the habs would be slumping with 25 goals 60 points Plekanec in the lineup either |

From what I saw Juulsen was better at the WJC. But he's a year older and at that age one year is alot. |

Juulsen is a solid prospect and should turn into a nice top 4 D but Sergachev could become a star... I would give Juulsen and way more for Duchene but I'd be real hesitant about moving Sergachev |

Habs could really use Landeskog's whopping 18 pts in 40 games. |

There's one less year of highschool here so both of them would be college chicks. |

And I'm sure his game would really pick up on a line with Desharnais and Shaw |

They haven't played like one since December, they've looked like pretender's the past 2 months - Symba007
basically the pace they've been playing at the last 40 games would see them miss the playoffs over a full season. and that's with a healthy Carey Price. |

I hear what you're saying but first, the Habs and Avs are in completely different stages so it's hard to just flip the script like that...And second, it depends on what the + is... If I'm going into a full rebuild and someone offer Juulsen, Scherbak, a 1st round pick and 3 2nd round picks, I would probably consider it... And also, I believe Pacioretty has a higher value, especially if you take salary under consideration |

I'd say their value are pretty equivalent.
That package is a start, they would probably want two first rounds instead of the 2nds. |
