I can deal with a bit of cheating in the D zone when they have a setup of 4 men to support the breakout but being on the wrong side of the puck in the neutral zone in a wide open 3on3 is bad.

no rush this year... the window has only been unlatched... it hasnt even opened for the leafs yet.

patience... i really do like how the leafs arent forcing anything and refuse to make a dumb move just for the sake of making a move

there are prospects in the system that deserve to have a real look as well... the defense might not need an upgrade as much as we think... so many of these guys havent even hit their prime years yet... for d men its the 26-29 year old range... a bit later than forwards

The easy part to remember is the JVR pirouette ..but it shoudnt have even got to that point

this is the time of year vet teams start to hit their stride.... they are going to be able to exploit the many mistakes this young leafs team make.... i dont expect a great second half for the leafs tbh... i still dont count them out for a bottom 10 finish

Regarldless...I think JVR has to realize he can't just blasting in there....he shouldn't have even went for the puck and started playing D IMO

I rewatched the 5th goal...not sure Rielly could do much...he had a guy on both sides of him...and it happened pretty quick. ( I don't think Rielly has played very well either )

Watched a few Blue Jackets games to figure out what was going on...holy (frank) Cam Atkinson is the most cheating bullpoop one-way player I've ever seen. People poop on Kessel for being mediocre in his own zone and lazy getting back, this dude spends max 2 minutes in his own zone the entire game. He's always looking to cheat and get a breakaway. Feel bad for Wennberg.

Still the second best pure passer in the game. I think Nic Backstrom might finally have gotten him.

From now on, games will be played up to 10, or when somebody has to go home because their mom is calling them for dinner.
