no rush this year... the window has only been unlatched... it hasnt even opened for the leafs yet.

patience... i really do like how the leafs arent forcing anything and refuse to make a dumb move just for the sake of making a move

there are prospects in the system that deserve to have a real look as well... the defense might not need an upgrade as much as we think... so many of these guys havent even hit their prime years yet... for d men its the 26-29 year old range... a bit later than forwards

- Dozzer

If Marchenko can save a goal every two or three games then the Leafs might be able to better outscore their opponents. I don't mind the tweaking until a good opportunity to improve the team arises... if it ever does outside of drafting a good D man

Agree on Julien but not the bold, they have a team sv% of .899. its impressive they are where they are with that. They are a good team other than that

yeah... always make a move if its the right one that improves the team without veering it off course from the rebuild plan... otherwise... they should stand pat and see what they have in the pipeline

This year they simply need to upgrade the 5-6 d spots. It won't cost much.
Getting playoff experience this year would be huge for the team. Yuge.
It's still part of the plan.

they still need to keep some vets in the lineup for that pairing... like it or not... polak and hunwick are the leafs best PK guys

If Barkov and Huberdeau are 100% I'd expect Florida to get in.

this is the time of year vet teams start to hit their stride.... they are going to be able to exploit the many mistakes this young leafs team make.... i dont expect a great second half for the leafs tbh... i still dont count them out for a bottom 10 finish

I believe Andersen is a below avg svg. % goalie in the league now.

I already ate crow for saying they'd be bottom 5 but you're right.... maybe I'll get to puke all back up in everyone's faces.

Because he's a trainwreck in his own zone and Brannstrom has jumped him already.

i think bottom 5 might be a bit low... but bottom 10 is what i expected from the start of the season... people tend to forget vet teams tend to come on late in the year while young teams tend to drop off.

Preach it.

The Leafs don't need another defensively questionable skilled Swede on this team.

What they need is a big Finnish guy
