Some isn't all, they get paid millions of dollars shut the (frank) up and play hockey there's a million people would like their "problems" as for Dreger his jt stuff is quite the opposite of Friedman who's heard nothing but he wants to stay from anyone. He isn't a yahoo like myself

Some choose to leave the city some stay. No ones bought an apartment in Brooklyn
They can get paid millions anywhere. Unfortunately for most we aren't that fortunate.
They dedicated themselves and became pros and deserve to get what they can while they can. That said it their decision when their FAs.
As far as Dreger he didn't say JT was leaving he said JTs saying all the right things.
No one knows what JTs going to do except JT at this point and I think he will think about it after the season.
I did like the line about the Islanders over paying to get a Badd here

And there's this from the Darwin awards

(22 January 2016, Michigan) He should have kept his hands on the wheel. Referred to as a "distracted driver," Clifford Ray Jones, 58, lost his life early Sunday morning when he rolled his Toyota while driving on the onramp to I75.
It was not traffic he was trying to beat. Driving onto the expressway without pants -- without seatbelt -- with a wide-open sunroof in winter -- watching a porno flick on the mobile -- well, police as well as Darwin Awards reporters draw the obvious conclusion.

At 3:40am his vehicle went out of control, rolled, and crashed. Our hero was ejaculated through the sun roof in a spectacular climax to a good life. Come and gone at the same time, Clifford and his beloved wanky will be fondly remembered in our archives

Did the new president give Garth a push?

Right out the door. That Lamp post is what kept him from going into the East river.

I'm not so sure that I buy into this Barclays issue the Rangers live in Connecticut the Kings don't live in Downtown LA the Maple Leafs don't live in downtown Toronto at least most of them all these players have to commute into the city to play games Brooklyn is no different it's overblown and it's annoying. This isn't directed at you but the Rangers do the same thing as far as practice and GameDay and you don't hear a word about it its just another reason for people to poop on the isles
- Upstate_isles

The Canadian media is going to create issue after issue to hang their hopes on that Tavares will leave the Isles to join the Leafs. The commute to the Barclays, the uncertainty with the long term home, etc. They're going to keep talking up the Isles as a sewer of a place to play until they get Tavares to leave and become a Leaf. It won't stop until JT signs an extension, and even then I imagine the rhetoric will continue.

Its so tiresome. I wonder if this goes on with all players that are stars and were born in Ontario or if this is just specific to Tavares because its the Isles he plays for?

I never seem to hear this with any other players in the league. I mean, they did do the same thing with Stamkos. When the Isles were winning last year, you really didn't hear a peep of this.

You normally don't when there's still 2 full years remaining. If Duchene doesn't get traded this season/off-season, you'll start hearing rumblings next year. His contract expires after the 18-19 season.

Good plan. A water front view will increase property values!
