Ekholm, Fiala and a 1st.

LETS GO!

- DDM-Coga

Too much.

Ekholm is your top pairing LHD and locked down at reasonable cap hit through 2021-22

You'll get Ekholm and a 2nd and you will like it

Love how Tanner said AZ is the team, yet didn't give any details such as who is going the other way, why they have more to offer than other teams(Spoiler: They don't), etc.

It is too much but they are not going to trade Duchene in their division without having a team over pay.

Ekholm is 27 this offseason, hes good but the reasonable cap hit will be just a fair cap hit bc hes no young stud, he will be declining sooner than later

NSH certainly seems like the best trading partner. I would imagine that COL would want Ekholm in return, which would be a reasonable ask.

I still think the Isles could put together a perfectly competitive offer, if they're willing to part with some talent.

which is the end of his contract. I still think hes the 4th best Dman out of Nashville (which is still crazy in comparison) so give me your worst of the best

plus I want their 1st bc I know they will draft Cal Foote with it and it will hurt my heart to see LittleFoote there

Agree Ekholm is the 4th best D on Nashville, but you need LHD from my understanding correct? And his contract is longer than Ellis...

I disagree that he will be in decline soon. He is still improving in my opinion...

How about we give you Josi+, and then you give NSH your 1st

I just really cant understand why they would want to trade Duchene unless they are vying to compete with the Yotes for the top pick for the next decade rather than make the playoffs. Id keep the group of Mackinnon, Duchene, Landeskog, Barrie and Johnson and move the rest of their dead weight. Look to cherry pick good players from teams who may not be able to retain them.

Instead of trying to land the big fish, I'd go after the likes of Ellis (NSH), Despres (ANA), Martin (SJ), Myers (WPG), Pouliot (PIT) or Johnson (CBJ) before the expansion draft. Several are going to be available at expansion if not moved and could be expected to go at a discount.

Trade Iginla and Beauchemin at the deadline and get picks and prospects to supplement some of these trades.

thats the issue with there, they are not trying to trade duchene but open to offers for him. Dutchy isnt the issue so listening to what is out there and if a team is willing to meet the price they are asking for (which is high) then they might move him.

But there isnt a time line of hey we need to trade duchene before the end of the season so teams will wait till the package goes down. If they dont get the package they are looking then they keep him

Duchene for Plekanec, Sergachev, 1st.

Does Plekanec have an NMC? I'm unsure.

No he doesn't...But the Habs will only look at options that dont involve trading Sergachev, Juulsen is a different story! And I doubt Plekanec leaves Montreal, ever

Yeah I don't see that as particularly unreasonable. Maybe another mid-round pick or a prospect or something, but that's not a bad starting point.

If they feel like they could grab Foote, Hague, or Tippett (I think his draft position rises thought) with that 1st, I think it could be worth wild

I agree, personally I don't see them moving Dutchy unless a team severely overpays. No way do the Avs trade him for an immediate fix, it's going to be with the future in mind. With knowing how much money the Avs will have in the off season, and the caliber of AHL players coming up next year, they can afford to splash on a Dman in free agency plus a high draft pick. I have a feeling Duchene won't be moved before the deadline and still don't see him moving in the offseason either.

Can't hurt to hear offers from other teams. If they are going to offer a top defenseman, a high prospect a 1st and 2nd..Heck I wouldn't hesitate on pulling the trigger.

However, if they move him in the division, I see that being a huge mistake that will bite the Avs in the arse every time they play.

Alright. Calgary offers you Bennett, Wideman, Andersson/Kylington and a 2nd.

That should cover all the bases.
