I don't think a guy should have to fight just because he gets a clean hit on someone. I don't blame Ferland for standing up for a team mate ,but there needs to be a penalty or deterrent .

The game moves so fast now that most of the time the guy retaliating has no idea what even happened. Attack first ask questions later.

I am pretty sure everyone here thought that the hit by Hall on Larsen was a clean one. Everyone still went ape $hit just about stepping on his head. Clean hit, lose $hit.

Yes it is. That's why it pisses me off that the NHL has gone all in on the Stanley Cup. Talk about diminishing your own assets. European football has done a great job emphasizing the importance of all their rewards and trophies. Lots of opportunities for fans to get behind their team even if they are not the 'best' team in the league.

I get that and you are right about the game moving fast. The code of take a hit, shake it off and take a number is being blurred. It's the line between was that clean or dirty. It happens so fast it's hard to tell during the game.

Like was it right for Hansen, after almost losing his head by hit from MR, to run after Kadri? Hansen didn't hesitate with broken ribs and all to take Kadri on for knocking down Danny from behind.

Was that the last great goal Danny scored by the way?

That's a good point. Championships drive business revenue. But they could make the season champion important by rewarding something to the team other then a trophy. It's so meaningless as no one has time to celebrate cause the playoff marathon is about to begin.
