his chances created per 60 or whatever is beatiful. Its like a big damn just waiting to explode and turn into crazy production.

I think if you put Bailey on his other wing instead of Foligno, that dam may finally bust open.

you mean the ones where gorges got hurt and was replaced by a far better fedun? The drop off in talent/production between our 2nd pair and ahl call ups sadly isnt that far off.

you could make the argument that our 3rd most talented defencemen currently plays in the chl.

I don't disagree with you overall. But from a consistency standpoint, things have been a revolving door back there.

i dunno about that. Bailey is frustrating out there sometimes. tries to do way too much. Hasn't quite figured it out yet.

Agreed, although I still put that on management and not necessarily injuries. Even at full strength that d-core got a constant shuffle. The original plan was kulikov with Risto and increasing Bogo's minutes to take the pressure off. That lasted one period and by game 10 mccabe was there playing far too many minutes.

I like Marcus as a player but he does not have the skill or speed to continue on that line. Disco's idea of pairing players isn't going to work as well as a complete 3 forwards line. Bailey may be the key.

I'd like to see Carrier on his wing for a little bit. The tenacity he showed on the puck and in the offensive zone when on that top line was nice, and I think his speed and drive would help Eichel's line.

Let Bailey earn some more ice time. I wouldn't have a problem with him on this team's 4th line (worlds better than in recent years), as long as it's not including Deslauriers.

Something like Moulson-Ennis-Carrier would be fine and skilled enough that it's not a complete waste of a skilled player.

There would be a learning curve for sure, but overall he has the wheels to keep up with Eichel.

I don't hate Foligno on that line. I understand to a point why he's there. He helps create some space out there for Reinhart and Eichel to work with and probably helps to keep the other team a bit less inclined to try and take a run at either of them. I love the role he's playing on the team overall this year. It's the perfect fit. Just wish overall that his skating was better so he could keep up a bit more.

Unfortunately with that goal the other day, he'll remain there.

Best part about Foligno's fight for me was that he was off that line ad Bailey slotted in.

I'm not sure if he was with them when Reinhart scored though, so I can't answer that part.

Justin Falk signs 1 year extension.

Good news for people who want Bogo and/or Gorges exposed.

Overall, him and Fedun were decent depth signings this past offseason. They've definitely outperformed some of the other guys on the blueline this year.

Good for Falk.

The article says if he plays five more games with the Sabres he can be exposed as one of our defenders. Might be insulation for bogo or gorges.

Maybe Vegas seen him exposed before and don't think he is Vegas material?

I see it the other way. They protect 3 D with 55,41,29. Then protect 7 forwards.

Leave 47,4, 26 and possibly 22 exposed.

It wouldn't shock me one bit if Gorges is claimed.

Vet, 1 year left. No big commitment

Hopefully he is traded at TDL and we don't have to think about it.

Full marks to the patriots for their win, but the NFL needs to change OT rules. It's absurd that winning a coin toss prevents the other team from getting a chance. They should go back and forth until one team doesn't score on a possession.

My preferred way would be to play the entirety of a 15-minute quarter. that seems fairest

Agreed. I was equating it in my mind to a coin toss in the stanley cup final and whoever won the toss got a shootout attempt - score and you win the cup
