Looking at ROW, the Canucks win about 1 out of every 3 games they've played for this season and last. That's awful, not a slump. - golfingsince

When a team needs everything you should not leave movable pieces exposed to an expansion draft .
Benning should be exposing Gaunce Biega and Bachman
Trading Miller Sbisa and Hansen . Get something back for them. - VANTEL
That would be the prudent thing to do. If they come back from road trip with a donut and 10 points out. Maybe he will and not say hey we are trying to develop by playing meaningful games and hope to make the playoffs. They can still be competitive just realistic about the outcome. |

Like I said before, the only bounces that really affected us were in the lottery machine. |

I just wouldn't pass on a stud defender in order to take a lesser forward. - golfingsince
The 2 stud defenders, Foote & Hague, will not be top.5 picks. |

Usually team that is the best after the all-star break make the finals. Sharks and Caps look good to me. |

You have no idea who will be stud defenders....surprises come in every round. Need to look no further then the career Alex Burrows made for himself to prove that. That being said this is a fantastic year for JB to try and grab a second first round pick to grab a player he likes later in the first |

Ya 1 in 31 chance you get a stud player per round. 1 in 5000 we find the next Burrows too. |

I have faith in my crystal ball. But yes some good talent can be found throughout all rounds of the draft. |

With scouting becoming so much more important over the past decade, it's becoming more and more rare to find good hockey players outside the first couple of rounds. |

This is you panicking making all kinds of friends. How about just (frank) off. I welcome change as long as we can shed the cry babies hanging off of it. - boonerbuck
Where is this coming from? Seriously you want to lay things on me? That's some BS to talk like that over what? I didn't say anything against you or give a frank over pissy attitudes. People like to thump their chest and point fingers. I got no all knowing perspective.
You should know there are no qualms from me about hockey talk and where the team is at. It's got 6 players left from the MG era. They got more changes ahead. The transition should be to getting, younger, faster, more skilled and bigger. It's sort of happening.
Like you said in the past current coaching and maybe management won't be around when they have the next waive in place to build up.
These are the hard times. Some want things to go faster some don't believe there is anything positive happening. We all put on those moods from time to time. But taking a step back you can see there are good signs. Just other warts pop up along the development lines. All part of the process of change. |

Yes it is but that is where a team can truly build off the draft. To find and develop NHL players from later rounds. That is the depth and rare gem that can turn the tide for a team. Either they use them to add to roster or have enough prospects to pull a deal for a positional need. |

There are maybe 5 players per draft outside the first 2 rounds that turns into a top 30 pick. |
