Bo is a given as the teams best. I still like Sutter as a third line center.

You are correct about where the Sedins should be playing . I hope Benning is not sitting back and respecting NTCs on expiring contracts.

Three of your biggest assets to move would be a bold move and I don't see it happening.(Tanev Edler Hansen). I could see one or for the right price two being moved.

Whoever said STFU in here last night a big thank you.

I get it, you guys are big fans but last night was annoying to watch on the ice and in here.

I will point out sitting having a coffee ,calm and not ranting just discussing.

I made a comment last night about the Swedish line being underwhelming and Golfing pointed out "yeah. but they are still our top players.". He is right and that has to change .

You are not going to move the Sedins an they have one year left and truthfully this year we have no replacements. Henrik actually still has game but Daniel has been a hindrance .

Seeing the last few games against the top teams exposes how old slow and soft we are. It is time to move assets.

Some of us including myself were praising Sbisa this year but if you can get a second round pick for him take it . This team needs a fresh start .

Miller Burrows and Hansen it was nice knowing you thanks for the service. Get those draft picks Jim.

I also have no problem with trading Edler or Tanev even if we unload the above mentioned contracts.

One more thing . Nuck4u try to remember Less is More .

- VANTEL

doesnt surprise me. Henrik took longer to become that player than daniel. It always balances out

With so many days off between games will WD keep playing him? Or give Marky a run to show some magic? Team can't score enough to have average goaltending. They need outstanding tending.

The WD system of tight checking defensive first doesn't work well against fast and big teams with skill. They seem to find a way to score and then Nucks are up the river without a paddle.

Maybe with Hansen's speed more offense can be derived with Bo and LE back with Sutter. Put Burr with the Sedins and play them 3rd line minutes. At least be defensively responsible.

Maybe a little less panic?

Horvat is emerging as the best overall player on this club. Sedins technically should be third line next year if we somehow can acquire a top 6 centre through the draft or otherwise. I love Sutter but if he is our 2nd line centre moving forward we are in trouble. Not saying Horvat is a true no 1 just yet but that's where we are. If Boeser can step in next year like Stecher has this year that would be great.

Watching Hank and Dank lately vs top 10 teams lately has been painful. A step behind the play most of the time and just pass pass pass and little to no shots. You can almost see the Dman on opposing clubs laughing at their cycle game now. I'm ok with LE as I feel he will have a better year next year as the team evolves. He's never been a first year guy on any club he's been on.

Sbisa and Miller honeymoon is over and hopefully JB is working those phones on Burrows to MTL…I would love to see Burr get one last run…he's earning it IMO.

When a team needs everything you should not leave movable pieces exposed to an expansion draft .

Benning should be exposing Gaunce Biega and Bachman

Trading Miller Sbisa and Hansen . Get something back for them.

If Patrick is viewed as a Draisitil or Toews. Only problem with that is then you need a generational talent in Kane or McDavid before you start winning games.
- manvanfan

Do Nucks need more talent? For sure. I don't see the generational type player coming up any time soon though. You hear about these guys for years prior. Not any on anyone's radar that has been brought up. As for Patrick. He's okay. Maybe he is up to Draisitil like level.... we will see.

The only thing that'll disappoint me is if they don't sell a few guys at the deadline; I'd like them to take advantage of the draft, make some picks, whether they work out or not...but they've gotta try.

Horvat is getting there yes, not quite our best yet but he will be soon. Im expecting his all star experience to lift him to a new level.

Always thought burrows was one of the hardest working canucks in probably all of his years here. Deserves a lot of credit for not being a country club member

I thought last year was a plan to finish bottom 3 .

This year is now confirming it was not a fluke. We are back in bottom 3.

We don't need generational talent at this point we will be happy to just get talent and depth.

We had Megna playing top six for Christ sake. Wake up Nuckie . We are going to rename you Baghdad Bob

Look at teams like Wpg and Dallas that have high end scoring and bad D. You need to take care of your back end first .

Oilers went all forwards for years and it took a long long time

I meant for.this draft. I am all for drafting defenseman, you can never have enough.
Right now our defense prospects/roster players outnumber our forward prospects.

Maybe that certain person isn't just super negative towards the team as most are. The sky isn't falling for all, even though the team does have quite a few weak points.

I myself prefer to think of the team as already rebuilding. Just not tanking. I don't like the idea of selling everyone because when the kids come in they have some players that know how to play the game right. Watching Toronto with so many rookies, they look good at times and they look real bad at times.

It looks like we will be getting two forwards in the top 35 of the draft .

I don't know why anyone quotes suck4u. His posts are so bad and he derails the thread by posting over and over. He's one of the main reasons I don't come here as much. The other being the rumours never seem to come true.

What part of Nucks need more talent that wasn't understood? They need lots of young, fast, skilled players with size to be added as soon as possible.

As for where they finish we don't know. Depends on how bad others do compared to their attempts.

Obviously they are in a slump now. Can't beat the great teams and playing same way with bad teams but goaltending is not as great. With result not enough to get points.

They have about thirty games left and are going on a 6 game road trip with one of the worst road records in the league. Not a good time to go in a slump.

Sometimes you need to stop calling it a slump and admit you are just not that good
