I'm with you in that Patrick is no Crosby, McDavid, Matthews in the sense that he's one of those 'generational players'.

But, i think he could be a 1st line guy. Lots of scouts compare him to Toews and Draisatl in the sense that he's not flashy but thinks the game extremely well.

Luckily, we are nowhere in the state of shambles that PIT,EDM and TOR were. If we could roll:

Down the middle with D,Sedin, Erickson, Sven, Granlund, Sutter and maybe Virtanen and Boeser along the wings, a first season, 40 pt Patrick could make a world of difference.

the wording of some in this city could use some work the negative slant constantly is getting stale.

All the Goalies have to switch to the new pants not just Miller, and yes San Jose has beat us 8 or 9 straight at home , but we have beat them 6 straight at their rink .

Miller is back to normal and we have no bottom 6 depth or defensive structure to play vs the top 10 clubs…hell any club for that matter.

But I like your comment on hunger and overcoming challenges…like Horvat scoring tonight and Stecher looking decent…but make no mistake this is not a playoff team and to think otherwise is not 'negative'…just reality.
