It would have to be a deal with a cap floor team. But with G's NTC its going to be very difficult for him to be on board with one of those teams.

I would do Giroux for Rinne & a 1st with Nashville. Maybe rekindle something with Lava. Gets them out of another 3 years of Rinne's bad contract

Rinne is so unbelievably bad it isn't even funny.

I don;t even know if I blame Claude Giroux, first Craig Berube and now Dave Hakstol. Flyers just need an NHL caliber coach it's been years. Remember how taking giroux off the penalty kill and defensive draws were supposed to help his offensive game?

Start getting bigger and muckier if that's how the coach wants to play. Out of the last 4 coaches, 3 have been absolute turds. Stevens, Berube and this moron.

"The same issues keep coming up", well maybe it's because the HC's are all piss poor.

Couturier is providing better even strength offense than g at this point. Guarantee that top line would be more dangerous with coots on it, or roughly the same. You can have tk take g's spot on the pp next year and put provorov on the unit. If this is what g has become they are in deep poop with that contract. They could keep him but would need to be on a 3rd line getting fed o zone starts

The biggest issue this team is facing is the lack of a top line center and rookie dman being tasked with #1 D responsibilities. Hes doing fine but hes a rookie. The coach has them in a playoff position despite these issues

That's it with the aggressive approach it seems. Flyers gonna pull back on the pinches. They just aren't fast or skilled enough so I agree with the decision if that's how they think they're going to win. Gotta even out the playing field as much as you can and play it safe. This is the type of hockey we'll be seeing

Yup, and this is why I'll reserve judgement until I see what he can do with a better roster.

If Berube had this roster, they'd be ahead of only Arizona and Colorado and dead last in the East

Yeah... felt like this since November. Refused to watch today. Glad I passed. I'll watch the big goalie saves on replay. If these aren't kids you can play thesn trade them for ones you can. Bet Ghost and Konecny can find playing time elsewhere like , you know, with Babcock and the Leafs or anyone else.

At the very least G should bring back a forward of significant relevance. Clode for a goalie or even a really good defenseman doesn't make this team better IMO.

They struggle as is on offense, getting rid of one of your 2 playmakers all but guarantee you picking in the top 5.
