Really? Rated Canada's worse crime rate in recent years. Can't use more than a $20 bill at a gas station at night. Skinny aids looking hookers have 3 different areas they stroll... more gang activity than at any other time... street dealers out in the open... You seriously have to be careful where you park in PG or you get ripped off. I lost a fly rod myself a few years ago.

It a junction for every major highway in the north. It is a pipeline for contraband. All the trouble makers in the north only have one place to go when they get bored of small towns and reservations...

Quesnel is a world apart and only an hour south. This town has it's criminals and robberies and such... anywhere with over 20k people usually has some element but it sure is a hell of a lot more civilized.

- boonerbuck

I guess it's all about where your hanging out in PG

I havent seen any hookers or anything ...3 spots ?

The gangs used to basically own the clubs and now I dont see any out really

Drugs etc are bad everywhere ...you just dont realize it in smaller towns

Tryamkin is a left shot and can play both sides.

His game would be made simpler by not having to cover up his partners mistakes.

THey are both shut down but Tryamkin can bring the toughness to that pairing . Tryamkin is also learning that he can shoot and take chances.

Being mentored by Tanev would be much better than learning from Larssen or Sbisa

- VANTEL

I agree with this. I also think having tanev as partner might allow tryamkin to be more offensive.

I want it to be so. read some criticism of BB's skating.

If the club isn't expected to be a lock for the playoffs next season, I'm not against him spending time in Utica.

then again, I will likely be pumped to see him in the young stars and training camp and will sing a different tune then.

I'm trying to temper expectations.

- hillbillydeluxe

That's not happening. You know it. But development in NHL also has merit. I don't see anyone in bottom six better then him. He's top 9 legit for next season.

Ok if new dude needs to be protected 👍
Idk losing Sutter for nothing helps us though.

It is just a bit of fun don't take it serious . It is not going to happen like 99.999999% of the stuff posted here .

I was pointing out for all the people that don't like Sutters contract there is a way out

PG is always at or near the top in B&E's nationwide.
Divorce is a business there as well.
Knew a couple dudes who moved motels 3x in 2 weeks after their truck being broken into at every place. Its a cesspool for petty type crimes like its an everyday thing. Running joke is u cannot fire a cannon without hitting a lawyer. Its alaways been a distribution point for cocaine & other drugs.

At this point TDL will surprise me. Maybe six game road trip will make things more clear if one or two players are moved. Off season definitely see one player moved.

You don't know Prince George at all. People that live there know exactly what I'm talking about. You just drive through or visit a specific location. Queensway has alway been a hooker stroll. Steets named after trees... crack houses and hookers strolling. Down town around the Ramada, hookers and drug dealers out on the streets. It was recently cleaned up but they just moved into other areas.

It's not fkn westside story. The gangs are not standing on street corners yelling STELLA!!!

This idea that the town doesn't have all this because it depends on where you hang out is not only a (frank)ing insult to me, it is totally naive. Don't look and it doesn't exist is what you are saying.

I don't realize it in small towns? Hahaha,,, I've lived in those hotels on east hastings in the 80's. I lived on the streets as a teenager in Toronto and I grew up as a child in a lower income neighborhood in Toronto. Believe me, I am not naive because I live in a small town NOW.

Contract is done after the season not during.
- Nighthawk

Do the words Jimmy vesey mean anything to you? Who gives a poop if he plays one game on a contract...he's under team control for minimum 6 years. He plays next year at college he can be a free agent. Name on contract is all that matters in this situation

Redmile has no idea what he's talking about. There is a gang network out of there that runs through every little town and reservation in the north. It has bike gangs in a tug of war and the the lower mainland gangs now all have a stake in the claim. I forget the number but a police report I read had a staggering number of gangs in total. You think, how is this possible in a town with only 82k people?

I imagine all the coke that keeps the oil flowing out of Fort Mac pipelines in from PG.

When I said you ...I mean people in general ...not you specifically ...and people in small towns are typically oblivious to what goes on in those towns

And yes I do live in Prince George ...

I'm not saying it doesn't exist ..I go out ..I don't see it as a problem ...it's no different than any other city ...you go out in Prince George, Kamloops, Kelowna etc it's all the same

PG has been cleaned up a lot ...I know people who have owned different clubs etc and it's nothing like it was in the 90's and 2000's

I am in no way saying it's some safe haven with no crime or drugs ...but it's no where near as bad as some in here would like to think

Absolutely, Its surprising how much ground the "Hells" have lost up there.

Personally, i have passed through there a select few times and i can attest to the fact that it's sketchy as (frank) at times, particularly if you have no idea what's what.

For instance, i walked into some piss hole trucker bar somewhere on the outskirts back in late nineties for a quick beer. I was the only non-aboriginal in there, over the course of my 5 minute beer the barman called the cops assuming there would be trouble (thank Christ).

By the time i walked back out to my car, all the while being followed by 7 'locals', there must have been 10 RCMP cruisers in the lot.

Clearly i picked the wrong spot for a quick brew

True.
Simply put, if you go looking for trouble in any town/city in the world, you'll find it.

That said, everyone i know who has passed through P.G has at-least one horror story to recount lol.

"The Hells". That gives away where you are... or Le Hells as we called them when I use to hang out down town Montreal. This was just before the Rock Machine grouped up and resisted. After reading a couple of the books on that war, I laughed. I remember some of those guys... especially Sasquatch who you could see walking down the street from 6 blocks away. He was a damn celebrity back then. People flocking to him as he walked through his turf.

He was one of the only guys from downtown who survived that war and he had to join Le Hells to keep it that way.

Oh I've heard lots and have some doozies from years ago ...it's just not anywhere close to where it was back then

It's night and day different now

Maybe that's more of an indication of how bad it used to be ...not how good it is niw
