Guaranteed if the Oil won and we lost he'd be on the boards.

Some secondary scoring would be nice. I'm not at all against a trade to shake things up a little.
- Wildschwein

Hmmm. Who has been saying all year that this is a one line team plus Talbot???

Or you move Nuge to the RW to see if he can start producing more with the lessened responsibilities of a winger. I'd wager it'd afford you the chance to move Eberle for a more versatile forward. Sign a 3C and we'd see something like:

Maroon- McDavid- Versatile F
Slepyshev- Draisaitl- Nuge
Lucic- Veteran 3C- Puljujarvi
Khaira- Letestu- Kassian

This way, we wouldn't be leaving a big dent in our C depth, either. Unless you guys would be open to a Nuge for Couterier swap, that is

- MaximumBone

This is very interesting...I am growing tired of Eberle.

He's not on pace for 40+ point he's on pace for all of 40. Which using the link MaximumBone provided puts him in the very low end of NHL 2Cs, like I said.
- rathagor

According to that article, done in 2015, 45 would be the average.

Your phraseology makes it seem like he is terribly off. He isn't. He is 2nd line material.

He consistently put up mid 50s, which is solidly in 1st line production.

so the point is that you don't dump him, thinking he is not producing. He actually is, considering the assignments he has been given, and he has a history of excellent production.

Jesus Larrson Christ, too much sky is falling around here.

If the Lames goaltending had been even average against us they would have taken a few points in the series and could be even with the oil.

Todd said this 4 game stretch would tell them where the team is. I think it's telling them there is lots of room for improvement.

Oh noes. Teams are winning. So the Flames won 2 games? They need to win another 4 to over take, still a long way to go. Or do you believe that the Official Laugh's final record prediction is true? No moar winnz.

The Oilers go on an excellent run during Dec and Jan...female doging and complaining about how it is unsustainable.

Oil lose 3 in a row. Now teams are going to pass them and the best bet is to trade every one.

You, ad nauseam. I was referring to the game last night, and to a lesser extent the two games prior to that.
I can't quite wrap my head around the 2nd lines struggles. Nuge and Eberle have both excelled away from McDavid (and Hall) before, and to have them both go so cold at the same time is either horrible luck or caused by some factor that is beyond me to comprehend.

Might I suggest Vancouver?

Settle
The (frank)
down.

My point is that 4 points can turn into 8 points pretty fast if this skid continues.
Like I said, the sky isn't falling, but a 3 game skid is significant. It's not ridiculous to suggest that addressing the lack of scoring aside from the McDavid line should be addressed, whether that means adding a winger to split Draisaitl and McD, adding a puck moving D to increase scoring from the ass end.
As for trading everyone? I sure as poop didn't say that.

I'd like to see the following tried at some point. Probably a pipe dream but oh well.

Maroon - McDavid - Nuge
Lucic - Draisaitl - Eberle
Pouliot - Caggiula - Slepyshev
Khaira - Letestu - Kassian

Did you get to see much of Samuelsson? If so what are your impressions?

Totally slipped my mind that you are a big Road Runners fan.

- Wildschwein

Saw him a lot. I like him. He's a big kid, good skater(not great), doesn't shy away from the physical play or the corners. Just think Tucson lacks the talent to surround him with. I think that lack of talent is a contributing factor to his lack of production. Think he'll do good with Pulji.

We're not as bad as Habs fans/media..... lose 2 in a row in MTL and all players hide. Trade him, Fire him.

But anyways..... big game tomorrow, please let us win in OT?

More than half the teams in this league are dealing with a lack of scoring. Every fan base wants their team to score more. Where are you getting it? Who are you or anyone else proposing to bring in to increase the scoring? What are you willing to give up? What if who they bring in doesn't work (see Andrew Ladd)? You stated you want a puck moving d man. That's fine, but sometimes the best fix comes from within. A change in line combos, power play lines or system tweak does it. Sometimes it's a call up.
Believe me, as an isles fan, I feel your pain. Just be careful what you wish for. You might just get it.
