So glad we won't see Ghost and Konency for at least another game. I pay money to watch exciting players like Nick Schultz, Chris VandeVelde, and Dale Weise

Thought last night the defenseman played Hakstols system a lot better. They were being aggressive in the neutral zone like he wants. They were trying to eliminate the speed of the Habs. They need to keep playing like that though. Can't go back to being passive defenseman.

Yeah.

That's why I am anxious for when the top d guys are all up. With the way they can move, and a lot of the recent draft picks being good 200 ft guys, if they can play the system well they can neutralize other teams speed and create turnovers.

If it happens once every 27 games, it was guaranteed to happen last game. It's good science.

For how much we all rip on Weise, I thought he had a strong game. Actually noticed him. Showed some of that physicality we signed up for. Had some scoring opportunities too. One other thing that stuck out, and mono said it last thread, it was nice seeing our core guys out there in the closing minute! We usually don't get ENs either

Painfully obvious that Konecny, Weise, Cousins, and Lyubimov all deserve to be playing regularly

For how much we all rip on Weise, I thought he had a strong game. Actually noticed him. Showed some of that physicality we signed up for. Had some scoring opportunities too. One other thing that stuck out, and mono said it last thread, it was nice seeing our core guys out there in the closing minute! We usually don't get ENs either

I don't care that he scored, personally. I mean, I do care that he scored, but that shouldn't determine whether he plays or not. Yes, it was a nice shot and a nice play. But scoring on a ball that knuckles on the goalie is one play over the course of an entire game.

I thought I was watching highlights of the 94/95 Devils last night, then realized it was the Flyers/Canadiens game.
