Someone is definitely missing in this grouping. Someone reliable. And not just in 1 or 2 zones either.

Dale Weise and Boyd Gordon are the poster boys of the grass being greener on the other side. Ryan is tougher and grittier than both. He could kill penalties if asked. He was a decent faceoff man. Again, Ryan White was cheaper. In fact I liked the offense he could chip in and I felt his offense ipside per season was better than Bellemare and Vandevelde's. Far from a perfect player White was but I thought he was a decent player here.

They did experiment with Rinaldo for a hot minute. He wasn't a "regular" for very long, but he was atrocious during the period they tried it.

No I know that they had those 3 on the books last year but What I was pointing out was if the Flyers traded Streit the year before perhaps that does thwart the Vinny trade or maybe it doesnt. Question remains do the Flyers still trade Grossman if they traded Streit? Does LA take the risk on Vinny without Schenn. There is likely a scenerio where Grossman or Schenn could be kept until the end of last year if Streit was traded. I am not convinced Schenn was a big part of the Vinny deal.
