I agree. They may make the playoffs still, they're still in a good position for that. At this point I don't think any of us will be shocked if they fade out of the picture though. We're conditioned for this.

If this continues for a bit, it may make some of the tougher decisions about what to do next much easier.

Biggest thing is need to shake it up on the back end. Not necessarily trade someone but do something with Corrado for his sake, and I'd bench any one of Hunwick, Polak, or Marincin and call up our young guy(s) from the Marlies. What the hell, least if they are gonna look that pathetic on the back end let it be from growing pains not just incompetence.

For sure. Hey don't get me wrong, i'd love the Leafs to go 82-0 in the regular season. But they had a decade of absolute inept mismanagement. It's gonna take more than 2 seasons to put the team on the right path (like contending). They finished 30th last year. I'd be astounded if they made the playoffs this year.

It'll take time but I honestly believe we'll make it in the end under this management team.

I'd love to see Dermott, Nielsen, Valiev or Loov for a game or two just to give them a taste, shake things up and maybe rest a couple of the regulars.

The problem with this is, how much impact does being healthy scratched leading up to the deadline? I know that Polak, Hunwick and Marincin don't have a tonne of value, but... ?
