at this point i'd take carrier...at least he can keep up and has a nose for the puck...plus I highly doubt you'd see him making a blind, between the legs pass in the o-zone that leads to a 3-on-2 break the other way and the puck in the back of their net

Kane needs to stay put.

He's better when he's not playing on either of those two "big" lines, and those two lines are better when he's not on them.

although he can be hot and cold, that's not necessarily true this season...he's on a season-worst three-game point-drought which he had one other time this season
- Michael Pachla

Agreed, but he's had stretches of 1 assist in 3 or 4 games a few times.

Need more from a guy who's being paid as an elite NHL player

It gives you an idea of who should play more/less.

If Reinhart scores 10 goals in a season but plays 18 minutes a night, he's actually producing less relative to his ice time, than a guy who scores 10 goals, playing 10 minutes a night.

Bennett looks like he's having a terrible year, but the nuance is that he's playing 3rd line minutes with little PP time. And that shows in the numbers

- sbroads24

I get it, but I would prefer an effectiveness percentage, or something along those lines.

It's also an assumption that a player who produces at a better rate with less ice time will produce at the same level with more ice time.

I'd be curious to see data on that, regarding how often that is the case and how often it is not.

agreed on everything but civil war that was great

Iron Man 3 was amazing for the first half and then went to complete garbage

Obviously Superman's not dead did anybody really care in the movie theater
He should be dead when he inhaled Kryptonite gas but that's just me lol

- GERBE!!!75PTS

No comic book character ever dies and stays dead, not any of the well known ones anyway.

I can't imagine what people would say if DC did to one of their main villains what Marvel did to the Mandarin in Iron Man 3. WOW, was that an embarrassment.

They did something similar with Baron Zemo in Civil War.

Very discombobulated...the way scenes jumped around with little to no tie in with the next, the lack of story as to why those two hate each other to the point they do...

and I knew the "Martha" stuff was coming...but holy hell was that cringe worthy!!

- stashu

The Ultimate Edition of the movie clears roughly 99% of those issues up.

It does not, however, fix that horrible Martha part, which I always fast forward past.

Sad because the score that accompanied it was great, just like the score in the entire movie.

I believe I just heard this from the instigators on WGR:

"Eichel isn't the most talented player on this team"

Ok...i'm done listening to those idiots.

- feetontheair22

I had the show on in my office and heard the same thing. I almost spilled my coffee. Rivet said it.

Carrier has had plenty of time in the top6 & has barely produced
I'd prefer Foligno
I think he's played pretty well for the most part
Although, I'm usually bartending when the games are on.
So I don't get to sit down & watch many of them very closely

O'Reilly isn't expected to produce like a top20 scorer
If that's what you're thinking,
I doubt you'll ever be happy with him
That's not his "game"

And how does Reinhart's icetime compare to these guys?
ALL of whom he has more goals than...

Corey Perry
Jonathan Toews
Aleksander Barkov
Henri Zetterberg
Gabriel Landeskog
Alex Steen
Zach Parise
Ryan Getzlaf
Jason Spezza
Anze Kopitar
Sean Couturier
Max Domi
Evgeny Kuznetsov
Matthew Tkachuk
Tyler Toffoli

I don't why top 20 is the barometer.

He's an excellent player. I'm happy with him most of the time. But he had a 20 game goal draught last year, and 2 in 18 currently. You need more.

He does other things than score

I think Toews has about 9-10goals this year
Are fans in Chicago complaining bc he isn't on the scoresheet enough?

O'Reilly is an all-around player who does things other than score
And those other things add to his value

That wasn't a slight on Reinhart, I was just using him as an example. The numbers weren't even right

The "top20" is just an arbitrary number

What I'm saying is that O'Reilly isn't there to just score

Sure, those droughts are tough
But TONS of really good players go through them

Seems like u continually discount how hard it is to actually score now
The game is different

Look at all the stats from the list I posted in reference to Reinhart's production

That's where the "expected" stats come into play. Which I look at very little.

I kind of get what you're saying...

Of course, more consistent production would be nice
It's just really hard to do in today's game

When they were winning championships he was, though.

The "all around player" is not worth $7 million a year. He needs to be upper echelon in scoring.

Me thinks that injury at the beginning of the season has been hanging around
