Why aren't you sure how that can happen ?
Burrows can't still be hated league wide to the point he is not tradeable ...if you treat Hansen as a rental he has value - Redmile247
Hansen is injury-prone now hard to say what his value will be if he is able to come back and actually play for two weeks.
Burrows I would love to see in MTL for their run but I fear we will be hanging around the WC spot with loser points and such and he is going nowhere by TDL. |

I think that fear will be quickly put away. The Canucks are about to get a dose of reality in February. Schedule gets a lot tougher and there's a more road games then home games left and they've been pretty horrible this year on the road.
Media and the team love to say how close they are to a playoff spot, but they're also only 3pts away from being the 3rd worst team in the NHL.
That being said I think it's been good for their young players to be playing meaningful games and that's something to build on, but long-term I hope management realizes they don't have a shot this year and moves some of their assets for picks/prospects and puts themselves in a position to draft as high as possible! |

Larsson. 50 gp, 2g, 10a, 12 pts. +11.
Sbisa. 50 gp, 2g, 10a, 12 pts. +8.
One was acquired for Hall, the other will be exposed to the expansion draft.

Maybe we can do both play meaningful games right up to the end but miss out on making playoffs. No trades at TDL in that scenario. But failure to make playoffs is so tight that missing them Nucks could fall to bottom 3/4 spot just as probable. It might come down to the last games for placing. |

Not to be the Debbie Downer here but I kind of agree...looking ahead to the Feb-Mar schedules we are in trouble. But with loser points we can 'hang around' the WC spot.
But I'm thinking 5 wins in Feb and maybe 6 in March given the teams...but tough to say. I still think we are dead-on pace for 85 pts. |

Mark my words, this next 6 game road trip (NSH, CLB, BOS, BUF, PIT, STL) ends our tango with a W.C spot. |

1-4-1 seems like best case.
They went 1-4-0 on that 5 game trip back east in December and 1-5-0 on the one to start November and there were some bottom feeder teams in those trips |

It's funny how value is perceived in players. For example if had we said at the beginning of the season: would we trade Bo for Duchene straight up? The answer would probably have been that would be a steal. Now doubt any would consider it.
So let's consider Sbisa who has gained respect for his play without the ridicule. Is it possible given only three D can be kept that he should be moved for a high draft pick or prospect by TDL? |

He's not making free agency one way or another he's getting signed this summer. By Isles or by team they trade him too.
Isles have inside track with ownership trying to build new stadium in Queens. Better for their fan base to get to as well. Brooklyn is wrong in so many ways. The former owner only went there as a FU to Nassau for voting down new stadium so many times.
Either way Isles don't want a rebuild and are willing to trade future for vets now to get JT to stay. If JB is willing to part with vets like Hansen and Tanev the return could be quite good. - Nuck4U
thats better. Never could see wehy it was brooklyn. Its known to be rough and many wont go there. |

Made my first trip there a couple weekends ago for their game against the Kings, loved it there. I havent had that much fun at a hockey game in quite some time, fans were really engaged, in-house production was really fun, the venue was top knotch and the area was decent (and still improving, lots of construction around). I ended up walking there from Manhattan with no troubles, the people were very friendly |

Better for sure, but they are playing some teams that do very well at home and are in the playoff hunt. Boston was a game I thought they might do well, but a 10AM start has never been kind to the Canucks. I think they will win a game and steal a point from a team they shouldnt, and lose the games we think they should win (like against Buffalo) |
