I don't see anyone giving up a first for Hansen . These draft picks are starting to be worth their weight in gold.
You look at these kids out here and wouldn't any of them look good on your team .
The first two rounds of the draft are teams futures.

I don't see anyone giving up a first for Hansen . These draft picks are starting to be worth their weight in gold.
You look at these kids out here and wouldn't any of them look good on your team .
The first two rounds of the draft are teams futures.

I look what we have as our top 9 and I think almost anyone on the ice tonight would be close to cracking the roster. |

Well I'm assuming teams who are willing to trade first rounders are not bubble teams ...they are probably projected to draft 25-31...and have a need for one or two guys to help put them over the top |

Various versions of this trade have been bandied about for the past year.
I think expecting a 1st plus Nichushkin might be asking a bit much tho.
I thought Miller for Niemi/Nuchuskin was fair.
Hansen for a 2nd also seems fair.

Nichushkin is a project & a 2nd is a waste for moving Hansen.

I look at teams like pitt, Chicago, wash, Mtl...they are in win now ...a first rounder in a week draft won't help them win a cup ...maybe adding a D man or top 6 guy will |

Ppl overrate prospects vs proven talent.

As long as their core are still elite they should always be going for a cup and not building long term ...once the sids and Kane's are no longer top tier players then they shouldn't be trading firsts
