I can't count the number of times it had Ottawa or Vancouver.

Right?! I ran it so many times and was just horrified. It was going to be so Leafy. It had to be the year that the Leafs finished dead last that they changed the rules so that all bottom fourteen teams had a chance. It had to be a year with a really strong first overall and top 3 picks, and the Leafs had to have more of a chance to finish fourth. It was set up to be so horrible.

I still can't even believe it worked out perfectly. I don't give a poop if Winnipeg moved up, and Vancouver took it in the ass. Ha ha ha.

Aw yeah. I love that after so many people ran the sim, on the day it came up Leafs. I ran that thing a thousand times and there were so many horrifying outcomes that came up. The real thing was so beautiful.

Yeah I don't see anything wrong with making fun of other teams in other threads, that's how it should be done. I rip on other teams in here but not in their threads, I have no problem with that.

I've been joking about an Oilers for Leafs SCF for years but now...it's not unreasonable that it might happen in the coming years...that would be amazeballs.

Another fun thing about last year - trolling ourselves. No other fan could troll us as well as we did.

That was good. The Leafs were untrollable last year. Still are. There's all kinds of posters that were in here continuously since I joined that have dipped completely.

Yeah huge kick in the balls for the Nucks.

But Laine scores so much, like nothing I've ever seen before. Matthews is good, but he can't score like Laine.

Sergachev/Bean/Chychrun > Juolevi

You can even make the case for Keller, McAvoy, and Nylander.

The Canucks are the gift that keeps on giving...

We should know, we've been giving to every other teams fans for most of my life

My opinion is they're overachieving right now but it's great experience for them and so much fun to watch. The Pat Quinn era was the last time I enjoyed Leafs hockey like I am now. There could still be some growing pains. PAIN!

It's hard to say. The leafs have been in pretty much every game this year besides maybe 4-5 games. They have speed and skill, and look like a tough team to play against. They still have obvious flaws with their defence, and still need to learn to hold leads. I think they just continue to get better. I just hope they don't get tired in the second half.

A taste of playoff hockey would be icing on the cake to what has already been an incredible turnaround season for the Leafs and as painful as it would be for the fans to just fall short of qualifying, in no way would this season be considered a failure... this team is only going to get better and it's great for the NHL to have one of their most important franchise be successful once again, not to mention one of the most passionate fan base in pro sports who have suffered for so long

Yeah they are sitting pretty good in the standings right now with all the games in hand that they have. Looking at that last 6 games in 9 nights could make or break their playoff chance. Hopefully they are still in the hunt then, and I agree if they can make it to that point it should still be considered a great season for them.

Trading Jvr dosn't hurt the playoff run this season as long as there is a defencemen coming back. To be fair he can score as long as he's within 5' of the crease but his play out side the danger zone will not be missed. The leafs should get what they can for such a neche player and retain as much salary as needed to maximize return.

Jvr, polak for orpik, Wilson and bowey

Jvr, carrik for stoner, Manson and montour

Jvr, carrik for dumba, greenway

Jvr, polak for gudas, sanhiem
