Etem definitely had more value than when VAN acquired him, but was also paired with the higher pick to make the deal work. Still could be considered a B level prospect at the time
Perron did not (nor Hagelin at that time) have that much value, both were under performing and it was seen as a move to give the Ducks more financial flexibility as Perron's contract was expiring.
Either way, my point was more that the expectations on a Hansen return should be tempered, it wont add up to his actual worth as the comparables are out there much lower than what we would want - WhiteLie
Your comparing a trade where Haglins value dropped and was traded. Perron was traded for Pits 1st rounder when they got him from Edm. I would say there was value in both players. Haglin + a 2nd got Etem and a better 2nd. Etem was still estimated asa high 2nd at the time. If we take both trades into account, Hansen = 2nd. As it would be a contender looking to get him, the pick would be between 40-61(i say 40 because if a team gets him and then drops drastically it could be higher than expected)
EDIT: It could be argued that a 3rd would be involved as well, but it is Benning so who knows. |

Don't forget that an early 2nd is a 1st and a late 2nd is a 3rd so in reality it would be Hansen and a 1st for a 3rd. - belcherbd

Is Nesterov any good? I know nothing about him. Looks like a #6 dman with little room for growth at first look. |

I hadn't realized, until a show was talking about the biggest movie winners, Return of the King won so many awards and it was the weakest of the 3 LOTR movies.
- hillbillydeluxe
Actually thought Two Towers was the weakest. |

We all were curious to see him.
If he were good enough he'd be a roster player.
He is not & therefore its not the time for tryouts. |

Very cool flick, though the story was pretty non-existent.
'We are going to tell the story of a dude, who steals a big-ass truck, with a few hot chicks, that goes from Point A, to Point B, back to Point A"
"I love it, Merica" - Whiskey-Tango
The artistic qualities of the movie were literally off the chart…and the score was unreal.
Basic story yes but it was carried by other aspects. It was actually more about Furiosa (Charlize Therons character) than Mad Max…which was fine.
The goof on the guitar was a little much…but other than that the movie was pretty much perfect…a George Miller gem. |

I am good with that, thats about how I valued him. There was (or has been) talk that Hansen could push a 1st, or a good prospect but I think a 2nd or a 3rd is a decent return |

before his injuries and if he picked up where he left off from last season, a 1st would be assured. At this point it would likely be a 2nd and conditional 3rd, condition likely being making playoffs(or 2nd/3rd round of) |

He could fetch a late 1st but a 2 & 3rd is more likely counter offer IMO
2-2nds would be my plan B if JB & the Habs. They have 5 2nds next 2 drafts. |

I like him, hes only 23 but the games I have watched he looked good. I think with more opportunity he will produce more, but its hard to behind the likes of Hedman and Stralman (though he was getting more PP time of late).
Even if he pans out as bottom pairing, he was traded for another D the same age with 1 career game and a 6th round pick. Seems like a low price for a promising guy with 120 career games |

For those of you watching the pregame and seen that commercial for the Conair Even Cut , do not use that to give yourself a Brazilian. Your balls will look like they went 13 rounds with a rabid chipmunk . |
