Lost opportunity against easier competition is the theme. But it's the NHL nothing comes easy. So the bubble shrank on this team after talk of being in a WC spot. Why many will feel if you give hope or expectation to this team you will get burned.

People here go WTF no matter what.
Only problem I have with his drafting, so many 19 year older in the later rounds. I'd prefer to see more 18 year olds in the later rounds that have another year to grow. I don't know the stats but players that aren't drafted out of the CHL don't make impacts in the NHL. Tyler Johnson is about the only player in a long while.

He's not really wrong but it's not as if Van didn't have a shot they just didn't register a shot. Had some really good chances. It was kind of bound to happen for Van to have a poop game. They have been playing at the top of their game for a while now.
