He ran out of teams. Last I heard he was now a big fan of Canada's national woman team. Their GM is the best.

I find it funny that fans here always talk about how those second round picks are yet is it rarely mentioned about how well Lockwood is doing.
He is one of U of M best player . - VANTEL
Agreed!
The Lockwood pick thus shows the uselessness of second round picks |

EliteProspects:
A hard-nosed two-way winger that thinks ahead of the play and seeks to be proactive whenever he is on the ice. In every situation, he exhibits haste, quickness, and urgency. He utilizes his high end footspeed to gain position on the opposition, and inherently knows how to create time and space for himself and teammates. Adheres to the physical side of the game and will initiate contact instinctively. Will will need to work on making quicker passes and decisions, as his vision can seem undermined due to reaction times being a second too late on some occasions, but his game is already at a point where these issues will not remain obstacles to his development for long - See more at: http://www.eliteprospects...2186#sthash.9sM0ca4f.dpuf |

Very interesting read up on O.J for those of you who have yet to see it:
http://canucksarmy.com/20...s-2-olli-juolevi#comments
Can't say I'm surprised our late 2015 first rounder Boeser beats out the recent 5th overall in their rankings.
(not insulting O.J, more a testament to the Brock selection). - Whiskey-Tango
I like how he doesn't mention OJ improving on his draft year totals with a significantly less skilled team as the entire top line from last year graduated to pro. |

Is that Chaput out as the extra attacker, and Larsen over Stetcher? Mind boggling. |

They did.
" Mitch Marner, Matthew Tkachuk and Christian Dvorak ripped apart the OHL last season. While this season, his most common forward teammates on the ice are Cliff Pu (43.7%), JJ Piccinich (41.2%), and Robert Thomas (34.5%), who are all having good seasons but not at the same level as the trio above."
" At this moment, Juolevi is 16th in OHL defenceman scoring. He has increased his PPG rate from 0.74 PPG last season to 0.85 PPG." |

I would say that is taking a the next step. He has improved his overall game, and is improving his offense, with less talented offensive players. |

Playoff spot on the line (which they have just lost...again) and the boys get shut-out by the 2nd worst team in the league.
Shots 31 to 18!
Lets make the playoffs baby |

Some teams that currently have at least 2 top 6 picks since 99 & zero cups since 2004:
NY I
TBL
OILERS
FLA
CBJ
CANUCKS
Those were just teams that I could think of. Not sure how many top 6 players LA, Boston, Detroit, Carolina, Anaheim have had but I would be surprised if they had more than 2.
Sure top 6 picks are nice but it is always a gamble.
