What do you chalk it up to?

My issue is that as the team goes through this transition and they get younger I prefer my captain not being the lazy one.

I mean it all could change but it's hard accepting it from the captain and highest paid and profiled player on the team.

He wasn't signed to a 4 year deal to be judged on the first 1/8th of it. Hextall didn't make that type of commitment with the intention of cutting bait if he wasn't optimal in his role out of the gate.

True, but it's pretty worrisome that he can't even crack the lineup of a bubble team.

I'd be much more concerned about him for sure but I didn't see a 13th forward in his last 10 games of action. A winning line up is a winning line up so I get why he's not playing but I think he will be back soon.
