Do you worry what is going to happen money wise with the Flyers?

Voracek - 8.250
Giroux - 8.275
Schenn - 5.125
MacDonald - 5.00
Couturier - 4.333
Gostisbehere needing a new deal soon.

Simmonds 2 more years at 3.975 will be getting a sizable pay day.

Is it too early to worry about that or would you get out in front of it? I almost think it would be wise to move either Schenn or Giroux or maybe cash in high on Simmonds. A playoff team would pay huge I think for him at the deal he is on and for what he brings right now.

I understand a lot can change. Maybe they can move MacDonald. Maybe it is not a worry.

Just something I was thinking about

I think their cap picture looks pretty solid going forward. They're about to free up 11-12 million on the blue line alone which are cap hits of players who should be relatively easy to replace based on their performance this season.

I blame Tangentman, I think he kidnapped the whole lot of them!

Tman just lurks. I don't think BC4, JSaq or THawk even venture in here unless something major happens or JSaq is really bored.

Saq had more analytic insight than every newspaper beat guy. Always appreciated his contributions here.

What's up with your team's name/logo court battle?

There's no issue. I have a blog about it, just waiting for Eklund to create a Golden Knights spot

Did anyone see the lazy penalty Claude took in the 3rd?
It appeared that he was more trying to avoid contact when with two stride he could have really been able to get good body position for at least a soft body check.
He seems really tentative/shy from contact or the crease.

Lazy plays have been happening with more frequency from the captain.

So how about that Dale Wiese signing????

Man I was so wrong. I actually thought it would work out.

You think Montreal would want him back?

I thought he looked vintage Claude Giroux in the third period last night. He was involved all over the ice. During one PP rush he called for the puck with the type of intensity that's been missing from his game lately.

I'm excited for tonight's game because I think everyone enjoys watching a young up and coming team. For us, with Hugh's come low's. We beat two good teams, so it's the average teams that seem to bite us.

What do you chalk it up to?

My issue is that as the team goes through this transition and they get younger I prefer my captain not being the lazy one.

I mean it all could change but it's hard accepting it from the captain and highest paid and profiled player on the team.

Stay the course, his first half of the season was disappointing. That doesn't mean it's a failure.

True, but it's pretty worrisome that he can't even crack the lineup of a bubble team.

But it kind of is.

He was singed with the intention of contributing and playing a solid role for this team.

Right now I can only consider it a failure.

We should trade Ghost before Hakstol ruins him more and he has no value.
