They want D + Picks. McCabe and a 1st for Duchene and a 2nd? I wouldnt do the deal but i'm guessing it would have to look something like that

I have big unresolved questions about Lehner. The brain fart softies and the rebound control are problematic.

But this morning, Craig Rivet says he LOVES what he is seeing from Lehner, while acknowledging that he still has more to learn, and Rivet claims Lehner will be a well established number 1 by next year. What Craig Rivet knows about goaltending I have no idea - but he was in and around #1 NHLers for a long time.

He could be right. Pro Scouts and former NHL Captains praising a player on our roster is never a bad thing. I think Lehner being healthy the rest of the year and over the summer will determine where he gets to in a big way.

Wouldn't care. He's the type of player that you can get a ransom back if he's going to free agency. We'd have to pay a lot to get him, but our top 6 would be pretty set for the next decade or so.

Im all for a push to eighth. it would be vastly different this year than in years past. Sure we might get smoked, but playoff hockey is the sh!t, and I want to root for my team again.

Sami Vatanen was a healthy scratch recently. He's a RHD which we have in spades, but if you had Risto, Vatanen and Bogo down the right, the left fills out nicely

For sure. Getting a taste of the playoffs would be good for them I think. Give them some experience in the post season without having a ton of expectations on them as well.

So is half the league. I'd be more surprised if we got one than if we didn't, at least for this year. If you can get a Fowler (just a name for an example) and Guhle comes up I think you have an okay defense. You still need that number 1 guy but I don't know if we go into next season with it just because of what is and is not out there
