Yeah, there's a saying "I can stand on my head in a bucket of poop for (insert short amount of time here)".

I don't know that everything wasn't overblown since the NHL tends to be so tight lipped about everything. The media caught wind and milked it for everything it's worth. I don't think he was necessarily pissed at Duchene personally, but pissed that they wouldn't give him the position/money he thought he'd earned because Duchene was ahead of him.

My recollection was that it was the opposite. Duchene got pissed at ROR and thought he was being greedy, selfish, and a bad teammate.

Ah, so I half remembered, he wasn't pissed at Duchene, Duchene was pissed at him. So they lost O'Reilly over $10.5M, just $1.5M a year. Which to us mere mortals is an obscene amount of money, but in the NHL, really isn't a lot. A whopping 2% of the cap.

That's where I was going, I didn't even get to Russia. My immediate first thought was a Scottish woman named Katya? Then immediately dismissed that and moved onto Germany, it's a really common name there, and they/we travel well, and then onto Eastern Europe, with all their emigration.

I mean other than the occasional YT clip I post I generally don't watch between seasons too much. I've already seen every episode other than this past season at least 3 times, and some of the earlier seasons upwards of 5 or 6.

This whole damn thing is very exciting.

Yeah, there are certain ones, like Mole Hunt, Placebo Effect, Diversity Hire(probably my favorite episode definitely my favorite sequence of the entire series, the locker room convo about Archer's underwear gun), Honeypot and Live and Let Dine that I've seen a ton.

Let's take the Wild as an example. They are required to protect Parise, Koivu, Pominville and Suter. So assuming they don't move Pommer before hand, under the 8 skater scenario they would have to protect 4 players out of Staal, Coyle, Granlund, Niederiter, Zucker, Haula, Spurgeon, Scandella, Brodin, Dumba. Tough decisions.

Under the 7/3 scenario, it's even worse. They would need to protect 4 forwards (Coyle, Granlund, Niedreiter and Zucker) and only 2 dmen out of Scandella, Spurgeon, Brodin and Dumba.

Yeah some teams are going to lose some good players out of this, it's time we start positioning ourselves to reap the benefits.

I guess I was assuming some would go the 8 skater route just due to the value of defenders vs forwards right now. Dumba will get you another Haula, but Haula will not get you another Dumba.
