Expected to be out 4 weeks not rest of season. Get him healthy and shut him down for the season and yes, you can buy him out.

Improves cap room in 2017- 2018 by $4.7M and will cost $10.6M over the next 6 seasons. Callahan's contract was a mistake so time to address it.

Not likely worth buying out Filp with one year left; trade and retain some salary would be better.

A team like my favorite Carolina would be a target for Garrison with salary next year at $2.5M and a cap hit of $4.6M. Might be worth keeping Garrison for next season but his game sure has been in decline.
