Here is my list or "retarded" statements. Please put them in order from most "retarded" to least. If you feel like adding your genius then by all means we would be so blessed to read it.

1) Johnson will not get 55 points this season or next (on pace for 49)
2) Stamkos could get 74 or more points next season
3) Kucherov and Palat could combine for 10 points more next season.
4) Namesnikov could put up 5 more points next year then he does this year
5) Conacher was not a great depth signing nor is he a fourth line producer. He was jumped by 4 or 5 on the depth chart so was just another signing, not great.
6) The sum total of points for the third line next year could sum 10 points more than the third line sum this year.
7) Next year Drouin should produce as a first line producer.

Trade Callahan, even if you have to give him away and retain salary.

Trade Filppula for picks.

Trade Bishop, even if his stock has dropped - trade him for picks.

I would keep the rest and find a way to re-sign them all - it would be doable if the Bolts could get Cally and Filppula's contracts off the books, and didn't have to worry about re-signing Bishop. The latter is a non-issue anyway, since Vegas will probably claim him in the expansion draft if he's still on the team by then.

Yeah I feel like Flip and Bish both SHOULD be tradeable. But Garrison and Cally doubtful.. Garrison, maybe, but his production has fallen off a cliff, and his puck moving skills, he seemed to have left in 2014. Coburn could possibly be tradeable, although I'm not the biggest fan. Seems like Killorn might be the candidate to be exposed for Vegas, if they take him.. clears up a nice chunk of cap space.

Agree. Filp with only a year left should be able to be moved, if he had many more years left on his deal he would be tough also but one year left someone should be willing. Cally will be VERY tough. The hip injury and production will make it tough unless they can find a Arizona who needs the contract for cap purposes. Garrison I am fine with, can deal with him for one more season if we have to, getting his $4.5m in cap space would be nice but I don't mind him as a 5 or 6 D man.

Could Colorado become a trade partner? With Varlamov out for the season they may look for another goalie. They have young players who may be available and they are not in the East.

Using some sort of logic and common sense please explain why Colorado would try to acquire a goalie and why they would want one from the Lightning?

Because they may be moving on for good from Varlamov and not sold on Pickard YET. They know the Lightning have a goalie they could get and potentially sign for a few years before Pickard, or someone else, takes over full time. Not sure why it is not logical to think teams with goalie issues may look to the Lightning for a goalie.

And what are they magically doing with the $5.9M cap hit? Also Pickard has a career save percentage of .918

LTIR, buyout, does Vegas take a chance on Varlamov with one of their picks? Pickard has a .906 save percentage this season. Bishop has played poorly this season and has a .905 with a career of .919. Pickard is very young still so they may want a veteran to slowly bring Pickard along while developing their goalie prospects in the AHL. Iginla comes off their books next year plus they are rumored to be willing to move one of their better forwards.

So they should trade for the older player with very similar numbers both for the career and season?

Yes because Pickard is 24 and may not be ready for full time gig, his numbers are part time numbers, Bishop has shown to put up those numbers over full seasons. Didn't think it was that tough of a concept. Teams typically bring along goalies slowly. Colorado may be in a re-build of sorts, they may not want to throw Pickard to the wolves right away. Again the logical thinking is Bishop is available, every NHL team knows that so the teams with goaltending issues would be ideal candidates to trade for Bishop. Sorry for the 100% wrong thinking...next time before I post I will ask you who is trading for Bishop or who may trade for Bishop. I guess while we're at it and you know all, who would be trading for Bishop this year?

So the worst team in the league should trade for a rental goalie? I'm confused.

No Bishop is from Denver. They only make the trade if Bishop is willing to sign a contract, say 2-3 years. Colorado then can bring Pickard along slowly while they have a veteran in Bishop, say a 60/40 game split. I know your next response, why would Colorado trade for a UFA instead of just get him in July.

Can you just tell us all who Bishop is getting traded to already??? Or because he is a UFA nobody is actually going to trade for him? Inquiring minds want to know.

Now I'm really confused. You already know why it is stupid for Colorado to give up assets for Bishop?
