IF u have to sacrifice from your depth to absorb the loss and max out for the D
it has to be Zucc.... logic dictates and depth will fill in his slot seamlessly

I don't think a team trading a top pair D would want Zucc tho because of the reasons you listed. Why trade a guy like Trouba for a package centered around a late 20s player who will be a UFA soon? It's like if we were offered JVR for Skjei...we don't do that because of JVRs looming free agency in a couple years.

no team in the right mind would trade a top 2 Dman for a forward, unless the forward was a young stud like McDavid or Druin or that ilk. we cant trade Zucc as he is one of our only more experienced forwards. Outside of Nash and Zucc, we dont have much experience up front, its a good and bad thing.

He has played in ONE All Star Game, yet every year they plaster his face all over their commercials and banners for the game. He doesn't even have the common decency to show up and acknowledge the fans anymore except for the one time in Montreal where he came to the entrance of the ice and waved.

How many times does he need to spit in the face of the fans and the league before they just stop sending him and voting for him?

The whole situation infuriates me, the game has given him everything. Ovie goes every year and has a blast, puts on a show, talks to fans and uses the spotlight for good and promotes charities. 87 should take some notes, this is why he gets booed in EVERY arena, something that has NEVER happened to any other superstar in hockey
