Pathetic! Sid sucks. Everyone keep talking about how consistent he is. (frank) that! He has had 3 0 point games in his last 7 games.

When's the last time kessel scored a 5on5 goal? HBK is not working.

Irrelevant for last night's game cuz our PP lost that one. Sid waited til the last PP chance to finally start shooting.

Give Sid Horny. Put Kessel with Malkin. Make a grind line of Hagelin-Bonino-Rust. Fourth line gonna fourth line. That's all you need.

Doubt MAF gets us Shatts, & I hope the extras the Blues will want we won't give them for any deal. I believe there could be something there only what are the Blues going to do with Alle? We don't want him in return, but we do need a tender to put up for expansion so........

We need a trade (that's if JR doesn't make a pre draft deal with Vegas about not taking Murray), that brings back a back up if Flower is leaving. Even if we go to the flames & ask for Johnson in return (not sure of his contract - HB research ), & a 2nd/3rd.

I'm not sure JR even wants to trade Flower at all at this stage - then the question is how can we keep that amount of $ on cap in net?? Does Flower now accept being #2?

- Aussiepenguin

Fleury/Murray situation has very little to do with expansion. I said that a long time ago when it was apparent Murray would be getting a new deal that kicks in next year. We won't tie up $9 million in the goalie position and pay two #1's. The only thing expansion does is make the trade a little more difficult since it cuts down on the amount of time we have to get it done. We would have had until free agency to get a deal done (since we would want to get the cap space for free agents by then). Instead its a rushed timeline.

Could work. It seems to me like the blame for the offense on HBK is falling on bonino. Only positive out of all this is bonino getting cheaper to resign. Instead of a deal in the low 5's if he performed like the end of last year now we can talk about something in the mid to high 3's. I don't see internal replacement for bones so maybe its a good thing to have a solid 3c at a reasonable price instead of a stud at a price that hurts our cap.

Agreed. It's still a four line approach. Just a little top heavy. 99% of the league can't handle a second line of Geno, Kessel and JG. Third line is still a hard to play against, just more of a wear you down type line.

I'd like to see what kinda damage Sheary-Sid-Kessel can do. He's only played like.. 5 minutes of even strength with Sid.

Not serious this time. I expect extremely much from sid. Hell I expected him to beat Waynes consecutive games with a point. Even though it is unreasonable

I'd like the Penguins to try and make a move for Tyler Johnson to replace Bonino in the future..

Would seem to be an expensive acquisition. Two years of RFA control left. So 4.5/year on next deal is likely a little low. I'd guess 5.5/year. He's had seasons at close to a ppg. So you could bridge him to UFA on a 2 years/9 deal, but with the assets we would have to give up I'd want a long term deal probably something like 5 years 27.5.

My guess to acquire him your talking a 1st plus sprong. So I'm going to pass.

Probably just personal taste and not that important, but I want a meat and potatoes 3rd line center. Someone whose physical you can match up with other teams top line.

I dunno, something like DP+Sundqvist+1st might do it. They need cheap puck moving defensemen. I do that in a heart beat.

I thought it was interesting watching the blues stop the pens through tje nuetral zone. I think the pens forecheck was good when they got in.
