In their rookie seasons? Monahan at least - TheMussel
Forsberg was setting up Weber for those one-timers. Probably. |

I criticize you anonymously from behind my computer screen because I think there are better hockey players than you, and no I'm not one of them.

I appreciate you at least having a normal discussion on this, without getting all defensive.
None of those guys actually plaed on a (PP) line with Matthews.
And although I agree Nylander is a good player, I think he's not great - and therefor should be traded for help on D. - MaximusAurelius

We are for the most part. Some of them got dropped on their head really really really hard as infants though. |

You mean like trying to make the alternative fact that Nylander has benefitted from superior linemates compared to other rookies with similar PPG - Kane, Backstrom, etc.? |

Nylander’s offensive game is way ahead of other parts of his game. Very young and lots of time to improve.
Nylander 30 points in 44 games in his 3rd year after being drafted.
H.sedin 36 points in 82 games in his 3rd year after being drafted. |

Nylander is benefiting from playing with Matthews. Who did H. Sedin have? No body. |

How dare you imply that Jim Sedin, a 7th cousin of the Sedin family, didn't impact the player that Henrik was in his 3rd NHL season. The man was OVER a PPG for the St. Paul Saints of the AAHL for crying out loud! |

What kind of D help would a guy who's "not great" bring back?
Just curious as I realize to get a beauty D man we need to trade a beauty forward.

I said Nylander 'is good, but not great'.
So a good young top4 d-man from a team that needs a scoring winger. |

I don't understand why the Leafs *need* to trade Nylander? Keep him with Kadri on the "3rd line" and play him on the "2nd" PP unit. God forbid we have three great scoring lines and two strong PP units.
Gotta trade our 3rd best player under 22 in our entire system because he isn't better than Matthews or St. Marner. |

Yeah but he's never gonna be Ovechkin... what's the point of keeping him? |

You aren't factoring in the future benefit of cap space if we don't have him on the roster. |
