No to Shattenkirk. Heard from a couple sources on TSN yesterday saying that Shattenkirk will look to sign somewhere like the Boston or new York areas. That its a long shot to want to play for a canadian.

the need for a d man, while evident, isnt as necessary as some people think

you can only have one TN visa at a time, good for 3 years.

TRUMP hasn't said anything against Canada. He doesn't appear to have any issues with countries that 1. pay a decent wage 2. have health & safety laws 3. have rules on working conditions 4. have similar regulations to US
