Does this mean you robbed a bank?
- LeftCoaster

You are lucky to get tens of thousands in a bank robbery unless you are doing a big planned out heist and know when you will have access. My father was friends with those types when he was younger(70's/80's). Guys who could do security systems and safes... I can recall one group of guys he knew in the news for a failed brinks robbery in TO in the 80's.

My father did not do poop like that though. Those were the circles I grew up in though.

No, my money came from two timely sources, 180k from ICBC and another 100k from my grandfather on my mother's side who I only met 3 times. I also was making decent money at the time as well.

Best scam one of my father's friends did was a deal where he went to old city hall in Toronto,,, pried open a display enough to get his arm in there and steal the deed for it or some other historic building. He did this because someone in his crew just got busted for a heist so he had a lawyer contact the Mayor and swindle a trade off to have the guy released/charges dropped in exchange for the historical document.... they left the cops out of it... fkn brilliant.

good for you for knowing what you needed to do and doing it. Sounds like it was the source of your drinking.

Yes some of my friends have died that way too. Some are full patch members still. I keep turning down the membership for that very reason. Rather just be friends than immediately involved in all that. A friend was shot through the eye just last year. Crazy.
I have friends that have ak47s in their bed. Makes you go "is all this really worth it?"
So glad I dont live that way.

My parents were the source of my drinking and other problems. Total (frank) ups. My father and I survived it. My mother who was hopeless, didn't.

Would be happy if we could get a 7th for 1 or 2 of our 4th liners.

One of these seasons the flames will realize you can't win in this league with AHL goalies.

Hi guys,

I took some time today to start sorting through the "trade a defenseman" conundrum....made more interesting today by the fact that Edler's not on the ice at practice.

Part I is in the new blog:
