Sure. Some are accurate, some not so much. Stamkos was all over the place, but it's too fluid. No one knows where these players are going until like 7-5 days before July 1st. Even then, I don't think we heard Okposo's name till like June 30th. Could be wrong.

There's always the business side that may not allow the player or the org to hook up with the other.

All I'm saying is, if there's a player out there that fits the mold, don't count him out because you hear midseason that if he becomes a FA, hes going here or there.

im not counting him out because NYR are the favourites. Im not even counting him out period. Im just saying hes going to be the best UFA at a very desirable position (Right shot d-man) and we are at the moment not a very desirable place for UFA's. So unless hes best buddies with someone here its very unlikely he signs here for market value.

There's a very real chance you'd have to give him close to 8 mil because i guarantee someone like Boston or Toronto will give 6.5-to 7

We have $24.5M in cap space for next season and have Lehner, Foligno, Girgs and Larsson to re-sign. That could eat up 8-9 plus if we re-sign Fedun and Falk another 2 total. If we trade/lose Bogo, Gorges or De-Lo that's another savings. We could be looking at possibly $15M available to sign a guy or two.

Agreed. He has 11 goals in 47 games this year and getting about 15:00 toi. It might take 4+ to get him but on a 3 year deal, yes. He would be ideal as 3C and 2nd pp.
