How has his defensive zone coverage been? Have you had a chance to see him Eli? - 93Joe

Yeah, I've watched him. He's the bright spot in a horrible collection of dmen in Rockford. They've had him paired with Pokka. While Pokka is basically a goner at this point, Pokka has looked slightly better over the last few weeks partnered with Forsling.
Also, I firmly believe that Dahlstrom is Swedish for "dumpster fire." Good Christ is that (frank)ing kid horrible. |

Nurse and Draitsel? - ikeane
I Keane, that is the most sensible and if Stan has the balls to do it, Edmonton surely needs that veteran top echelon type D man with the pedigree Seabrooke provides.would Chiarelli do it and would Bowman grow some balls of steel and demand the first 2pieces are Draisitl AND Nurse , maybe even get a pick also or no deal. Or does Bowman give in and bend over the able and say give it tome like the other GM's have done with the other trades and take back their garbage.
Some of the other proposals will definitely floated , some of the real doozies involving Sharp and others will come at the 2AM hour with a big blunt hanging out of ones mouth at the computer screen.Hedger sure opened a can of worms here! Sit back and enjoy THIS ride! Here comes the keyboard doozies! |

Thank you sir
Glad to hear it. Maybe (please God) he turns out to be a Stralman-type defenseman. Definitely has the skill. |

Just saw the Rangers beat the Kings. First time at MSG; good place to watch a game - I mean other than the Rangers fans. Thought I was watching the Hawks tonight. NY was significantly outshot, had a horrible Power Play, yet capitalized on the few high danger scoring chances they had. |

If they were to deal Seabrook, Crawford or Kruger they will be bent over the barrel again if they wait until the offseason. Trade deadline they get a much better deal and the ability to shed salary. Roll the dice or stand pat and go all in. |

Imo Edmonton isn't moving Draitsel for anyone short of Keith, Karlsson, Doughty, or Burns at this point. They're just too high on him. They do crazy things over there, but I just don't see it.
Eberle might be doable as he's the one that's actually mentioned in rumors but I do wonder why the Oilers would be interested in moving any other top 6 forwards right now - they want to make the playoffs for the first time in a while and they can do that without picking up a top 4 right now. They're more than a defensemen away from winning, so it'd be smarter for them to wait until the off-season to make a deal when everything isn't so high and go big for it next year.
Btw Nurse is out for another two months or so with an ankle injury + he's currently only at 3rd pair level (21 year old after all). Not sure he'll be ready to fill a hole in the span that the Hawks core is still young enough / Panarin is still here. |

Some good points there, I was just throwing it out there that the Hawks AIN'T giving Seabrooke away for anything less than a significant return. He probably isn't going anywhere and will finish his career as a Hawk. Hedger just started a crapstorm by floating that B.S. out there. And if by any chance some of that was remotely true , the Brain trust will absolutely get a lot more than the Siht proposals and wet dreams that are posted on some of these web sites. Surprised Ek hasn't piled on that one yet.

Hand them the President's trophy!
And then watch them get knocked out round one or two of the playoffs. They are skilled enough to go all the way and win it all. But, no surprise if they are out before the finals either! |

The great Alex Ovechkin has never won 8 games in a single postseason. Think about that for a minute. |

Never.
That would be like trading Taylor Hall for Adam Larsson.

My concern is that trading CC or Seabs would be like the Sharp deal all over again.
Having to sweeten the deal with a good prospect and getting trash in return at 3m/yr for 2-3 years...
No one who thought we'd resign Saad for a 4m/yr bridge deal should argue otherwise. - busmaster
IMO, that would be the only reason to trade him(them) now. Some GM would overpay at the TDL, and therefore, StanBo should get the better end of the deal. It may also be the only way to unload Seabs' contract. |

It's always a losing player that says that. When a player on the winning side says it then maybe. - 6628
I think generally in the past the ice wouldn't thought of as in the top 1/3 in the league. Hawk players would never brag about the ice, but obviously not criticize, until recently when Crawford said the UC ice was in the top 1/3 in the NHL. |

I don't get the great love for Sharp. he's old(er) and injury plagued. he's not the same guy he was a few years ago. - tompo1015
He knows the system and he is a UFA (no future commitment to the cap). There is value there if you can get him cheaply. but thats the thing, you need to get him cheaply.
