As much as the Leafs need immediate D help, they won't move valuable assets for D help that can't be considered beneficial in the medium to long term either.

If they buy for the playoffs, I can almost guarantee that it's a nothing pick for a depth player or a significant trade for a young piece that fits into the lineup for years to come
