Greiss .928
Bishop .905
Crawford .919

And let's be honest all have better teams playing in front of them. We know you don't care what other people think or your handle wouldn't be ur not me you pompous idiot. You're like the guy that as long as you yell I'm right really loud you think you've won. Stats are there for a reason and the numbers don't lie

OK I'm the dumbass, his numbers are better than some of those guys the last two years and that's when he's played for us. He will sign a 2 or 3 year deal till sorokin gets here. For a guy that won a playoff series and has played great every night you're very quick to dump on the guy. Fleury is NOT a great goalie he chokes under pressure see isles pens series which if the isles had greiss and not nabby they would have won. Hate to tell you this but he's the reason the isles are in most games this year but ur so smart you probably already know this. With all the issues on this team greiss isn't the problem. Also another journeyman that was so great was tim Thomas. God 7 is right ur a moron also where's halal? The Ahl must be because he's the better goalie even though all his stats and the eye test tell another story
- Upstate_isles

Not for nothing but Halak has proved before the ISlanders that he was a bona fide number one goalie. He has stolen plenty of games for us while he has been here.

Greiss is finally coming into his own and is just starting to prove that he might be able to handle the number one goalie situation. He has only been the number one for about a month so I am curious to see how the rest of the season pans out

Halak was injured, ummmm and recall that Greiss slowly stumbled down the stretch & team almost blew a PO spot.

Why has halak been shipped out of town every place he's been?

Halak sure moved around a lot for a bona fide number one goalie. I thought Halak had some very good moments with the Isles and some real bad ones as well.

If I can make a good deal with Greiss I'm bringing him back. Isles need to focus on other areas.

Something does always seem to come up with Halak. It's either injury or diva behavior. If it just happened with the Isles that would be different.

I'll keep drinking and if the isles didn't put Mr softee Halak in net all those games this year where he gave up terrible goals they may have won more games. I also said the isles need to spend more on other places first and greiss isn't the problem with this team. He signs for 2 or 3 years till sorokin is ready. Would you rather have bishop in net, or greiss and the money saved on bishop used on a winger for jt? Also they did make the playoffs and they did win a round nice point

In MTL when he took them to Conf finals, they chose Price, which is the right decision
STL had Elliot & up-n-coming Allen
WAS was Holtby

That's all the places I believe he's been, plus when he's been on, he's more proven to be legit but another major factor is his injury history which has been his biggest nemesis....

This team in OT really just has no plan.. still. Most team are very focused on keeping the shifts short and knowing that EVERY possession is crucial. We have seen a number of times teams actually keeping possession as they rotate the puck and Changed one guy at a time on a shift. Our team just seems like it's pond hockey.

JT as a number of you already mentioned has been caught trailing the play or just exhausted in OT at least 4 of the 5 OT losses. He was a direct contributor to those losses. At one point does someone wake him the fck up on this matter?

(Strome getting benched mid game is a start. If Weight keeps them from being idiots in their own end, and holds them accountable for Idiocy it will help a ton.)

It is part of the sport. I know for a fact when the Islanders signed him though a lot of people were so happy. Let me put it this way before Halak got here if you had the choice at the time between Halak and Greiss who would you pick?? I am sure everyone would have picked Halak cause of the Islanders picked Greiss we would be like not another back up goalie.

I totally agree he has grown on me and like I said I dont mind if he is here another 2 years or so but lets be honest he was a back up his whole life and just finding success now. If he was a number one goalie no way other teams would not have kept him

I agree the injuries may have been his biggest nemesis. Halak also has trouble with remaining focused and gives up bad goals at the worst times. I still would have ended the 3 goalies before the season and if I could not have traded Halak, I would have moved Berube. I had no issue going with Greiss/Halak and playing the better goalie more.

Honestly, the W for JT will need to be traded for, NO FA worthy has come that would be ideal. So in a trade for W, anything's possible & matching salaries
Next, this team has 1 star and close to salary cap, so to me, horrible players & contracts on team, needs to change
So if isles can obtain somehow a proven #1 G, yes I rather have the G bc its the most important part

In recent Stanley cup champs are who in G besides the last Pens

Crawford
Quick
Rask

Opponents
Lunquist
Bishop

Are those names considered the top of the G market?

Murray played awesome but the team played better, it clicked when coach was changed and new what he had in Murray in AHL, now Greiss is NO young Murray

I can only go with how Greiss is playing for the Isles the last few years. I'm not looking for Greiss to be the goalie for 10 more years. I think he makes the most sense for the next 3 year. If Greiss is looking for a 5 year deal for big money that's different. I like Greiss, but if the Isles can get someone better and they can fit into the Cap then fine.

But they both came here and one outplayed the other again teams passed on Thomas and he won Boston a cup. Point is greiss earned the #1 spot plain and simple and has played well enough to be resigned to a short deal

It worked except for the fact that halak was out the last month and entire playoffs leaving the current combo to win a round. Halak had no bearing on that series and apparently won't this year either. Clearly he's the future and the current best goalie the isles have which is why he's earned the last 5 starts in a row

I love JT, but he cannot hide behind not having star wings to excuse his OT or defensive play.

Benching Strome was a start. You have to do that to players. Players had 7 years of no accountability.

I just want to see what he does in a full season. He has yet to be the number one for a full season. I Am just saying if he falters some how then our default is Berube who I dont trust at all to be honest at the moment

All teams but the isles will leave the offensive zone to maintain possession and get a line change its very fustrating

Yeah berube is a question mark but it seems teams want him and he's supposed to have upside. That being said he's played 9 games so we really have no clue what he brings to the table
