He came with WD. Jarvis I think is who Dragon is referring, who likely changed some things with respect to overall d-strategy, maybe forwards more specifically but likely both.

Jarvis runs special teams, I'm confident I have read that somewhere

Yeah sounds right. There were reports this summer JB told WD to make changes with D wether it was tweeks or whole system hard to say as it's a new group of upgraded players too.

actually he was there to run neutral zone play. BUt since he ran D systems before he tweaked that too.

Correct. Whitelie researched a posting last week that mentioned Jarvis added to defensive approach team will improve on. It was part of a JB interview as well. But he's not in charge. That's WD and Lidster on individual level with D.

ya but those 2 clowns did ZERO in 2 seasons with it. Bring in a guy not even to run it and he does a better job instantly....it looks so bad on those 2. THey should be jobless.

Let's just say he contributed to the changes team took this summer. WD headed that under JB direction. Whether Jarvis is the chiken or egg in the changes doesn't matter anymore. It was a coaching staff effort. Leave it at that.

Jarvis is special teams & neutral zone.
Lidster is defense.

Everything I've read about Jarvis was that he ran either special teams or was the video/eye in the sky coach.

I know he was a great defensive forward but I'm not sure he ever ran defenses. I don't even think he was behind the bench for Boston or Montreal.

Perhaps when he was in the AHL or with Dallas back in the day?

the reason for confusion is that he ran the D for sometime....I believe even against us in 2011 but later when they got Houda in he did the D and Jarvis did PP the rest of the way. So he's regarded as PP guy in Boston. But when you look back he ran the D before that.
