why do you continue to omit that Obama is 50% white? That seems racist to me; ignoring his other half. Cracks me up that is always forgotten. Raised by his white grandparents.
it was a legit question to question his birth place based on his parents way of life and origins. It was proved to be false. Sorry not buying the race card their chief. Just because you think it is doesn't make it fact.
Obama and his whiteness rule. if I disagree I am wrong. luv it
james are you for or against "safe spaces"? - rinaldo
If you questioned Obama's birthplace and then accepted the answer and let it go, it would not be racist.
But these people -specifically Trump - did not accept proof. They didn't because they didn't care. They knew he was born in America, they just also knew that most of the base was racist and uneducated, so they were appealing to that.
It is objectively racist. If you won't change your mind, you're just denying facts.
As for Obama being half white, do you think racists are only half racist to him? No? I didn't think so. You should not be talking about this stuff, unless you have an honest desire to learn, which I don't think you do.

james cant help himself by talking about trump in every blog. - rinaldo
Look, it's kind of a big deal. I think we should talk about things - it certainly makes me feel better to come on here and express myself and discuss things with people who might feel differently or agree.
I also think we've been amazing at having great discussions that haven't degenerated into insanity and name-calling. In fact, our political discussions on my blog are often more mature and respectful than the hockey discussions. |

Do you still think gormley and rundblad are top 4 nhl dman?
objectively racist in your opinion. not mine. Therefore it isn't a fact that it is racist. then again if 1 out of 10 million people find something offensive then it becomes offensive. That's the pussified world we live in today |

Look James, it's your blog and you can write what you'd like as long as your boss has no issues with it. You're given a forum to express your views and, whether I agree with them or not, I can't tell you not to do so.
That said, I do think it would be, maybe the word is "appropriate", to separate your political views from your more hockey-related threads. If you want to use politics as way to tie-in hockey (i.e. the owner of the Panthers, for example), that's fine and dandy, because it flows. But if you're going to continue to use your hockey blogs on a hockey site to flame and bash a certain politician on every occasion, then please understand that some people will take issue with it.
Again, as long as your boss doesn't mind you doing it (hits), then you're free (and possibly encouraged) to do so. I just think you should expect some pushback, much of it influenced by emotion rather than reason, in response.
That said, I didn't vote for either Hillary or Trump, because I think they're both terrible self-serving people who would not make decisions based on what's best for their country. And I wasn't a big fan of Obama, but I felt that he tried to do what was best for the country. That said, Trump is president, and will be for the forseeable future. Since that's the case, while he's not above question and ridicule, I simply hope that he proves me wrong and makes both American and the world a better place. |

As I mentioned before, if you are a person of one race, you do not get to tell a person of a different race what they should or should not find racist. Your role at that point is to listen, not talk. The fact that African American's find the birther conspiracy racist should be clue enough here that you should be trying more to understand why and less time proclaiming that it isn't racist because you (presumably not an African American) personally do not find it racist. |

1. Segragation is not the worst it's ever been. That is false.
2. Violent Crime is at a 30 year low.
3. Trump paints a picture of a dystonia that doesn't exist or align with any facts. He does this so that uninformed people can be tricked into thinking he improved things. All he will really do is lie. - james_tanner1

So are you the voice to African Americans? Have you taken a poll to see if they find it racist? I know plenty who laugh at it and don't find it racist in anyway shape or form.
Though as I said if 1/10,000,000 find it racist then hot damn it is racist. Go back to your safe space now. |

How about less talk of politics and more bewilderment at why one hot season warrants a second blogger for the Columbus Blue Jackets on here. |

False comparisons don't help. Yes, all politicians lie, but Trump has lied more than any other politician in American history. That is not "fake news" but independently documented and true. He also lies about things he's on video saying, or that he himself tweeted. On top of which, he calls any unflattering truth a lie, which is in itself the worst kind of lie.
As for threatening minorities:
Trump's chief of staff is Steve Bannon - a guy who runs a fake news hate site that literally does threaten minorities. That is my elaboration. - James_Tanner
How could you possibly know this or think it? Saying something like this shows the type of blogger you are. Sad |

It's an easily verifiable claim. Only 4% of what he says is 100% true. Think about that. |

It would appear though that you simply are incapable of thinking at all beyond your own narrow mind. That's a shame, particularly because you claim to be a thoughtful person who learns new things everyday.
I do find the safe space "insult" laughable though, as if trying to be understanding to other people is a bad thing. Honestly, if that is something that you find so appalling, then might I suggest that you go and inhabit the desolate cabin that Ted Kaczynski left behind - the country would be that little bit better for it |

The thing about this is that CNN did nothing wrong. The file was out there and there were tons of rumours about - all they did was report that the President and Trump had both been briefed on it. This is not unusual.
As for Buzzfeed, it was irresponsible and bad journalism, not getting around that. However, I 100% believe it is true because it fits the guy's character.
On top of all this, is that Trump spent 5 years saying Obama was born in Kenya - which is a very racist thing to say about the first Black President. The born in Kenya stuff is way less plausible than the Trump documents, so it's hilariously ironic for Trump, of all people, to complain about it. - James_Tanner

We have nothing to say that he has lied more than any other politician in history (particularly if we're going with a cumulative total of lies), but what we do know is that he is a serial and compulsive liar. Don't let the fact that there have likely been worse gloss over the fact that this is still absolutely unacceptable. |

There has never been anyone who ran for President who lied like he did. It is basically Kim Jung Ill and Vladimir Putin levels of lying - 99% approval ratings, yuge inaugurations etc.
Guys like us are basically sitting back waiting for everyone else to realize what is going on. Fortunately, as the protests this weekend showed, the anti-Trump movement is one of the the biggest movements in the history of the country.
100% of the time a movement of this size gets what it wants. So unless Trump plans on a Tiananmen Square style escalation, he isn't going to last long. |

If you're rating anything good on a ginger scale, it has to be based on Sarah Rafferty, not Ron Weasley.

Aren't the Blue Jackets currently "the league's best team?" The certainly have the best record, the longest winning streak of the year, a top-3 goalie in both Save % and GAA (after Price and Dubnyk in both), and have the most scorers in the top-50 (5) in the league. According to you, you're writing for them. Add that to your Coyotes, Capitals, Hot Stove, and "Plus/Minus" blogs, that's a lot of writing. |

So the only way to determine the best team is to use the previous 10 games? Silly me, I thought that standings and stats were inclusive of the entire season. And this season, to date, Columbus has been the best team in the league. |
