Enough with the Chia hand jobs bud. He hasn't done poop haha.

Edit: I shouldn't say that. But he's been half bad half good.

- The-O-G

I'll agree with this. I'm just glad to have a GM with the balls to take risks.

You with your blind MacT love and Chia hate is well known on these boards. Just your simple statement that its all a failure unless they win the cup says everything.

You refuse to give Chia credit for anything and it was all set up by MacT.

A great player and a great coach but in way over his head as GM. Maybe down the road with more experience he'll fare better.

- Oildrum

And it's you and others that can't get it through your thick skills that I'm not a Mact fan. He did both good and bad as GM. But PC has been gifted a group of massively talented players and has made tweaks. Most of his moves have been bad yet the team is still better. It would have been better with out him.

And if things keep going the way they are or the rest of the season and a good trade deadline aquisition PC has a shot at GM of the year.

Who knows? I mean the morons that vote for these awards don't have a (frank)ing clue as is evident in past award nominations and winners.

Really isn't that bad. 6 mill for a 20 goal/50-60 point winger who's mean as hell and will only be 34 at the end of his contract.
The NMC sucks but meh. Much better than Ladd's deal.

Gotta love the team PC has built. All in less than 2 years too.
- Oildrum

Okay, but how much credit can you give him when he walked onto a team with McDavid,Klefbom, Hall, Eberle, Draisaitl, Nugent Hopkins, Nurse,Brossoit, Slepy, Lander, Pitlick etc...?

I like how he reshaped things , but youre stroking him off like he built it from scratch in 2 seasons.

Pc is the one thats put it all together and given this team an identity. Made some bold moves that everyone else was afraid to do. Made some key aquisitions thats given this team balance and built them to compete in the West.

Who votes him in? The 29 GM's that are still laughing their asses off at the Hall trade? Buddy, you are on fire today. Do you and Hallfan come from the same ginetic milkshake?

I dont agree with it either....

The Great:
Talbot ( assist to MacT)
Maroon (steal)

The Good:
Kassian
Russell
Sekeras
Caggula

Bad:
Hall for Larsson
Lucic ( too expensive)

Ugly:
Reinhart
Monster

Having said all that, the two bad negatives x eachother come out positive somehow.

I really, really hate the Reinhart trade. It was such a whiff on a pitch that ultimately cost us Taylor Hall, if you follow my reasoning.

Had Chia perhaps traded those picks for a decent Larssonesque player and not a POS...we would still have Hallsy baby.

Had Chia kept those picks and drafted a decent RW prospect...he maybe would have been anlr to trade the 4th OA for a D...and we'd still have Hall.

Of course, what none of know is whether or not Halls absence somehow helped the team....and we never will know until Nuge writes his tell-all and throws all these jabronis under the bus in 2036.

If that's the case they should sign Maroon to the same deal!

This!!!

Reinhart was a train-wreck deal. Anyone who pulls the trigger on that one can't be trusted in my opinion. Same way Feaster was tarnished after the O'Reilly thing.

Yeah, that was dumber than MacT trying to sign that Russian kid that wasn't a free agent.

He's an unhinged egomaniac who won't listen to reason despite the evidence he's given. It's ridiculous.

You can't put a price on the intangables he brings to the table. Let's see after a full season and some playoffs before we decide how much he's helped this team and what his value is. Lots of teams wanted him and the price had to be paid to get him.

Let's not forget the Oil's biggest issue was size, toughness and a willingness to stick up for each other and Lucic brings all of that in spades. He was an absolutely
neccessary signing in my opinion.

I don't agree with Iggy on a great many things. But he is welcome to his opinion (as are you) and has shown us all that nothing we or anyone else says is gonna change his mind.
