Yeah, the connection between going to college and being successful is not as strong as many would have us believe. As long as you're willing to work hard and always push yourself, then you can do quite well regardless. If you can add some imagination and innovation in there also, then the sky is the limit.

Some of the most successful people I know didn't even finish high school. Using the registered apprenticeship program that the high schools offer you can be a 3rd year in whatever trade you choose coming right of school. A year after high school to be making a journeyman rate in any trade would be awesome. And most of the trades I've seen don't work all that hard with all of their union mandated rules.

Haha well when you fail a few courses in your first year it tends to prolong things!
- The-O-G

Yeah, most people find at some point that just being smart is no longer enough and that you actually have to put in work to compete with everybody else there

Oh yeah, it's definitely possible to do very well without university, and there are many people who are at university that really shouldn't be (it should always be a means to an end).

I think that it's the same one as Cameron Diaz had in "there's something about Mary", right?

well whatever works! Like I said before, everyone is a little bit different. So many "opinions" but it's crazy how many people refuse to acknowledge that what worked for them may not work for everybody.

Oh yeah. poop, I had almost 9 years in school, and would not recommend grad school to anybody unless they (a) needed it, and (b) were willing to commit everything to it.

A very optimistic moron judging by that article. How in the (frank) would McDavid's age have any bearing on the Oilers winning a Cup?

Wasn't all PC. He didn't initiate the trade for Talbot or draft Klefbom and Draisaitl. Others had a hand in it too.

Pc is the one thats put it all together and given this team an identity. Made some bold moves that everyone else was afraid to do. Made some key aquisitions thats given this team balance and built them to compete in the West.

You with your blind MacT love and Chia hate is well known on these boards. Just your simple statement that its all a failure unless they win the cup says everything.

You refuse to give Chia credit for anything and it was all set up by MacT.

A great player and a great coach but in way over his head as GM. Maybe down the road with more experience he'll fare better.

And if things keep going the way they are or the rest of the season and a good trade deadline aquisition PC has a shot at GM of the year.

Enough with the Chia hand jobs bud. He hasn't done poop haha.

Edit: I shouldn't say that. But he's been half bad half good.
