I might keep him on 2nd line center especially since JT is on a roll right now. - ses111

I agree with much of your post, but the bold????? Are you saying Cappy was too intense a coach and got the players too uptight???? Man, I always had the opposite impression. It seemed to me that Cappy was too laid back, and too many players got away with coasting.... - JohnScammo
I think he was too much of a players coach and so when it came time to get serious with these guys, it didn't work. I believe then he resorted to frustration and caused some rifts in the locker room, to the point where guys were playing scared every night of making a mistake. Now with Weight, you get that jump in their step and by relaxed i mean that if they do make a mistake, they look forward to a better next shift instead of thinking "am i gonna play next game?"
The blame def goes both ways though. Cappy didn't know how to properly be serious with these guys and they took advantage of it. Cappy became desperate and lost the room altogether. This goes back to my 3rd period point. Cappy didn't trust these guys and thought the only way we could win was by pretending we were killing off a 20 minute power play, i honestly believed that lack of trust was seen by players and just caused a terrible avalanche where they started believing they couldn't be trusted. You make a hell of a lot more mistakes if you doubt yourself. |

In fact, Landeskog makes more sense. He's having a lousy season, so his asking price may be cheaper. More importantly, he's a natural winger, whereas Duchene is a natural center, something the Isles have in ample supply. - JohnScammo
Totally agree JS. I said this in a previous post as well. But I'm not trading Lee in a deal to get Landy

Time seems really good to make a deal. Teams playing well and playing well without Hamonic. |

Good point Ses however with Hamonic being injured can a trade be made right now?
And again there's the mutiny issue |

Have to think he will be back soon and team can always examine him. I'll risk the mutiny issue. |

Grabner has 21 goals for the Rags so far this season. I guess all those years in Cappy's doghouse did him some good after all.... |

Rangers will have a tough time re-signing him. |
