2-0 under Weight. Reasons why
1) So many guys are more relaxed and playing better
2) More pucks being directed on net
3) Regardless of score we are attacking in the 3rd. Only up by 1 against a hot Lehtonen, we kept pushing. Blowing a 2 goal 3rd period lead last night, no worries, we pumped 18 more shots on net and won.

Our 3rd period play has the biggest single difference under Weight. Against Stars, Cappy would have gone into turtle mode and we prob would've lost that game. Blowing last night's lead under Cappy would've ended up a loss. Weight has accomplished in 2 games what Cappy couldn't figure out for most of his 6 plus years...you don't spend an entire 3rd period in your own zone terrified of making a mistake, you keep playing the way you played to get the dang lead in the first place.
Soooooooooooooooo glad that Cappy is gone!!!!

Start? Lee? Yeah ok you've lost your mind. Why the (frank) would we trade one of our top scorers for the last 3 seasons to fix scoring?
- Cptmjl

Lee had a good year last year? Plus like i posted its having 3LW that are similar and u have to give to get plus keep the cap in perspective.
Landesklog is much better than Lee & Ladd in all facets of the game,
Sorry but (to me) Lee is Moulson 2.0 cant skate a lick

I'm glad Crappy is gone as well, but don't start the Weight celebration yet
Typically a coaching change will energize the squad but let's see if they continue this play consistently over a longer period than 2 games.
Today will be interesting to see with a floundering Flyers team coming in if they continue to play well.

there's one reason they're 2-0 under weight - the passive defensive coverage has been altered and now they're playing more aggressively in their own end giving the other team less time and space.

will it continue? I'm not optimistic about it, but at least for now they're playing the right way.

It was also against 2 teams that aren't playing very well. However I do believe that under Crappy they would have lost at least one of those games.

Yeah we'll agree to disagree on that one and yeah he started slow but started playing great before Boychuk shot that missile into him. Trating Lee would be like taking 4 steps forward and a few steps back. Especially with Landeskogs lacklister numbers this season. Much better? I think not. Makes no sense to me but wtf do I know?

I agree with much of your post, but the bold????? Are you saying Cappy was too intense a coach and got the players too uptight???? Man, I always had the opposite impression. It seemed to me that Cappy was too laid back, and too many players got away with coasting....

Where you think he'll be? 2nd line center or on Tavares's wing?

In fact, Landeskog makes more sense. He's having a lousy season, so his asking price may be cheaper. More importantly, he's a natural winger, whereas Duchene is a natural center, something the Isles have in ample supply.

I might keep him on 2nd line center especially since JT is on a roll right now.
