Wonder why he is having a down year? Thought it was mentioned his numbers were going down for a few years?

So you play Landeskog on the top line, and let Lee and Ladd compete for the 2nd line with the loser playing the 3rd line. If someone in Bridgeport/juniors proves worthy of the NHL, you worry about that problem when it occurs. It's a nice problem to have...

Fair point. We might need COL to take Bailey or Kulemin off our hands to make the cap work.

I will not be upset if the Isles get him. Either Landes or Duchene would be a big help.

in 1 or 2yrs, MDC, Bellows will be here, u gonna play them on 4th line? In a cap era, gotta think ahead as well

And Stamkos was coming here too. Meaning they are not here and may never be here because of trade injury etc. worst thing to do is count on prospects until they are here, like Beau and proving themselves.

Quit honestly MDC and Ho Sang aren't exactly lighting the AHL of fire so

Lee is a nice piece on the PP and seems to be clicking with JT and it's a mistake to move him imho, plenary of other pieces to use.

For both players, if i were isles management, i'd start with Hamonic/Dehaan/Lee as a package and see what else might have to be thrown in..??

Isles instantly get better & COL finally has a top 4 group

Maybe they did not trade for Hall because Stamkos was on the way.

I agree you cannot just count on prospects, but my confidence goes up with better coaching.

I also like Lee with JT and would not move him.

The reason for Lee is simple,

If isles have Landes & Ladd & Lee, thats 3LW that are similar, i rather not, so u have to part w/1 of them plus his $4m comes off to offset salaries too...

If isles acquire Duchene, Strome & Nelson days are numbered bc of Barzal & Beau

edit: reason why i didnt want Ladd at all

- Ur Not Me

What you say has merit. But I still don't like it.

IMO if Clarkson and Phanuef can be traded then so can Ladd. It won't be pretty but very little of what Snow has done every is.

If Hall is in your pocket and Stamkos is a maybe you make the Hall deal and move on.
Waiting for Stamkos and putting literally ever other asset or option on hold, FN, KO, etc. shows how over his head Snow is. Then after all those blunders Snow over pays Ladd in term and $ in desperation.

Stamkos was never coming, it was a pipe dream lol
but filling a roster w/a cap era, thats where low priced players come into play

Agree but you want the low cost players to produce. The ELC players and to a lesser point RFAs are a teams time to get more for their money. That all changes once a player is a UFA obviously.
Can't have your low priced players just taking up space imho. That is the difference between good teams and shat teams and that has to do a lot with development as well.

That would be fine, too. And it helps COL with their goalie situation, so it makes more sense than Bailey or Kuli.

They have 2 young kids, Martin & Pickard, they're fine for now, while Varlomov comes off books

OK, in that case, give them their pick among Halak, Bailey and Kuli. Heck, they can even choose Grabo or Ladd for all I care....

They did say they wanted a young goalie as well in the deal, however if you can entice Col. to take him that would be a win.

If Datsyuk can be traded then anythings possible. The problem is the guy in charge of making the deal imho is incapable of doing this.

Start? Lee? Yeah ok you've lost your mind. Why the (frank) would we trade one of our top scorers for the last 3 seasons to fix scoring?
