Just little things like having certain players on the ice with the game on the line..

The way I see it the Leafs had a terrible 1st period and then didn't really let Ottawa do anything for 2 periods. It took a dummy play by a poopty dman that wouldn't be on the ice if the Leafs were healthy followed by a fluke tip-in for the Leafs to lose.

It is frustrating to see that stupid penalty, an be able to write the whole rest of the script, and see it play out exactly how you knew it would... again.

It is a very young team, but the way they are throwing away games is tiresome.

The Leafs shouldn't sign any big name UFA's, since their dollar per production ratio is far too high.

The UFA's they should sign are the ones still unsigned later in the summer, that have good underlying numbers compared to what they're going to be paid. I'm talking about bottom pairing ones to replace Polak and Hunwick.

The top 4 defenseman they need would either come from via trade (Bozak, JVR, Komarov, Kapanen, Bracco, etc. as trade bait), or from within (Nielsen/Dermott).

Either way, there is no rush.

I'm totally serious. Bernier wasn't at fault here in Toronto for those very reasons, so his terrible numbers must mean the same thing is happening in Anaheim. Surely he isn't to blame.
