I'm.... dan rarely kept a line together for one game. Selective memory ?

I remember him never breaking up sid kuni dupuis and playing craig adams on the pk all the time .i dont think he ever would have gave a young guy like knuckles a chance on the pk

One of his biggest criticisms was has refusal to keep lines together. Sid kini dupes was left alone but it was effective. People used to complain about ballsma moving lines around all the time. I recently saw several complaints on garths thread about it too

No way, his biggest criticisms were he was stubborn, wouldn't make adjustments to the Pens systems. Same with line combos, he rarely changed them up unless there was injuries (which, unfortunately during his tenure, was all too often). But it was "Not penguins hockey, we need to get to our game." You never saw adjustments in breakouts, or NZ, or anything like that

I'll never forget this... In that Bruins sweep, Dan's first alteration to the 1st PP unit was game 4 in the second to last Penguins power play chance for the series. The Penguins PP was so predictable. Everything was run through the right side of the ice, while Iggy and his amazing shot sat on the bench.

Guy was a stubborn turd. He'll be sent packing from Buffalo soon enough.

To madmike about Sid - quotes not working.

It's great someone is writing about it & letting everyone know how much he/they do for others.

Sid is a very special human being in all the right ways (it appears, that statement is actually made with me having no actual contact or communication with Sidney Crosby)!

The numbers would suggest Horny with Geno is the only way Horny is scoring! It's the data it must be true.

Colby Armstrong is a really good radio personality. I usually hate pre game shows but just made a beer run and Army didn't annoy me at all. I also think Rupper is one of the few bright spots on the NHL network.

JG seems to have good chemistry with GEno. Can Sid get Kessel for a few games? The other two lines should be able to tread water at least.

Actually, not at all. I looked up the line combos on corsica.hockey. the only time he really changed lines was when an injury occurred.

Jakey and Geno are really developing chemistry I like where that is going. Ruhwedal looks better every game and Gaunce is fine. How many teams are this deep on defense? 10 guys that can play reliable minutes that's pretty rare. Great job last summer sighting depth.

Oh of course. The guy made dough. Won a couple cups. But compared to his peers in the NHL.. he sucked.

Next game go right back to Murray, he's improving every game now. He's almost back to what he was last year and that is elite.
