And Raffl - YuenglingJagr
What I'm trying to say is that Flyers need a top line sniper. Maybe young prospect Greg Carey on the Phantoms. |

Well, ya know, it's like I said. Gotta give a full 60 minute effort, work hard, get pucks deep, get pucks to the net |

Is this like some weird reverse Rookie of the Year tactic? - YuenglingJagr
I just have the luxury of living in Rag country. Hard to get to Philly for a game with my job, and Devil and Islander tickets are dirt cheap. |

Greg Carey is 26 years old and the next incarnation of Peter White imo.

Carchidi wrote an entire article on how they need to call up Carey. It was a treat lol. He made him sound younger than he was, completely ignored majority of his goals are PP goals down there, and he was even trying to cite his age 20 stats in a second tier Canadian juniors league to build a case. Talks about him being a late bloomer about to turn 27. And you know he hasn't seen him once. This is the man who punched himself in the nuts after not drafting Bellows. He needs to consult a psychologist about his "top line sniper" obsession. |

I think it's nice that John Boruk got a second job as a ditch digger after what he's been tweeting today |

Pryor had some good things to say but it seemed to hint the reason he isn't in the NHL is he is a bit one dimensional. That the big thing they wanted him to work on was playing two way hockey.
Basically he is a little Charlie Conway until he got to Eden Hall. |

They're being pretty consistent right now. Three consecutive years of being a bubble team.
Where's all this talent coming from next year? Lindblom, Morin, maybe Sanheim?
I thought this season we'd see them take a step forward. No one can tell me that they see any type of improvement over last season. Players have regressed this year. The ten game winning streak was fun. Pretty sure we're going to be the first team to have one and miss the playoffs in the same season.
Patience is one thing. It takes time to acquire talent. That's a given. An ability to play consistently sound hockey can be taught. IMO the concept of team play has also regressed.
It's wholly disappointing. - mayorofangrytown
it is. It's one thing to have players having subpar seasons, but the complete breakdown of team structure is the most disappointing. Of all the criticism of Hakstol, to me this is one area where he should be criticized, in my opinion. The rest is not really valid in my view. |

Agreed, the constant team wide breakdowns in defensive coverage along with tendency for this team to wilt under adversity makes question the coach and the veteran leadership of this team. In recent years past, leaders like Pronger, Briere and Timonen would not tolerate this. I'm not ready to change head coaches at this point, but I would like to see a couple of new assistants next season and I hope at least one of them has NHL head coaching experience. Bringing in a respected veteran player or 2 to show these kids how to be pros wouldn't hurt either |

Could some of it also be that you have a captain who looks to be coasting in the defensive side a lot?
I don't know. But to me that really frustrates me. I think Voracek leads by example. Giroux worries me with each game. |

Giroux has been flat out bad both in performance and in leading by example. It's extremely worrisome. |
