personally, i would love to lock him up early. 8 years X $6.5M or less if we can. If we bridge him and he performs well again next year, may be looking at like $7.5 or $8M per year. point per game player, #1 Center, Right handed, 24 years old, has performed better every year. i could easily see him getting $8M on the open market if he finished with like 60+ points next year. ROR got a $7.5M contract from Buf.

Wasn't a big fan of the 2 1sts. Thought we overpaid but wasn't crying we didn't give into Callys ridiculous contract demands. St. Louis was leaving and there was only 1 place he wanted to go. We had all the leverage in that one.

Erat played 62 games for the Caps and scored 2g in those 62 games. Forsberg has an entire career ahead of him. Scary to think of the caps if they still had him
